Subject: Convincing to keep the course “This boat is my boat”.

Dear mam,
This is Dhruma Vora, and I am writing this mail to persuade you into keeping the
course “This boat is my boat”. This story is generally the author’s opinion on the
native and non-native people living in Canada. The author has given several
examples of kayaks which I feel are very pure and I feel like the authors view on
the means of transportation that was used for native people are now just a
amusement thing for the non-native people who don’t have any other motive than
rather showing off their wealth and maybe make the native people feel insulted. All
together, the quotation ‘middle class white people are different from you and I’
was the best thing that kept the reader reading, it did capture my attention. The
author’s main point is that the middle class white people are different than the
natives and they tend to do things differently which can harm the native’s
feelings.

By this being said, I used to love languages in high school especially English so I
misjudged COM101 as an easy subject and have may taken it lightly but I definitely
would learn a lot from this course and these topics the one’s that do compare the
indigenous people with the non-indigenous one’s are my favourite as they never
judge anyone in specific I mean that they also put different kinds of people in
stories/articles rather than just the white people who are always their in movies
and maybe every famous love stories. This types of articles makes me feel accepted
into the society.

Thank you,
Dhruma Nandish Vora.
