Below you will find the Version 2.0 for Psion Ability Tier System or P.A.T.S. The
information below is by Baal Domiel and is for those wanting to learn under Baal.
This is not the only paradigm. If you choose to live by this and be a fellow Baalite
then you're more than welcome.
In Psionics and the Metaphysical there are many types and flavors of abilities. There is a common
misconception with new Psions that one can jump into anything at any time. Some of come to Psion

Nation already "able" to do one or more of these. But what most do not understand is while there
are latent abilities and abilities that you in time have stumbled on there is a process. One should
complete the prerequisites of certain abilities before moving on. One should train abilities and skills
prior to whatever ability it is that you are training to get better at it.
To help Psions understand the levels of progression I have made this Psion Ability Tier System. It
starts from tier 1 to tier 5; or T1 to T5. Tier one abilities are basic abilities that anyone can jump into

Latent Psionic Abilities (LPA's) - Abilities that some can be born with. Found
in Natural Psions. Abilities sprout at young age, raw, and untrained.
Latent Empathy - More than just Passive Empathy that everyone has to a
small degree, Latent Empathy is Active Empathy that is stronger than
Passive Empathy.
Intuitive Aptitude - Higher Learning in which the Psion only needs to see
how something is done in order to mimic and learn to near perfection.
Psionic Foundations [T0] - Skills that everyone Psion should learn first.
Novice Psionics (Tier One Skills) [T1] - Skills that a Psion should learn after the
Psionic Foundations are trained.
Energy Manipulation T1- Skills learned help absorb, redirect, and release
energy.
Imbuing - This skill will help store and maintain energy within objects.
Requires Energy Constructs T1 & Energy Manipulation T1.
Flaring - Skills learned will help vibrate and illuminate energy radiating
from Energy System.
Requires Energy Manipulation T1.
Auric Sight - This skill helps a Psion visualize the energy of others people's
Energy Systems.
Beginner Empathy [T1] - Active Empathy learned here will help read
energy radiating from a target's energy system (aura).
Apprentice Psionics (Tier Two Skills) [T2] - Skills that a Psion should learn
after Tier One Skills.
Energy Connections [T1] - This skill helps build one of the most useful
constructs in all of Psionics. Connections from yourself or objects to other
beings or objects.
Requires Energy Manipulation T1 and Energy Constructs T1.
Energy Shielding/ Armor - These skills help provide a Psion with more
defense/offense with energy defenses now being able to be create on
yourself or a target. See Psionic Armor or Psionic Shielding.
Requires Energy Manipulation T1-T5, Energy Constructs T1-T5, Energy
Connections T1-T5.
Basic Focal Points - This skill mixes other skills to create Focal Points that
can be used for a multitude of other skills including Projections.
Requires Energy Constructs T2 and optional Biolocation for Focal
Points T2.
Energy System Scanning - This skill helps create a Scanner Psion. Using
incoming energetic information they can scan a target for energy type,
afflictions, and weaknesses.
Requires Energy Connections T1, Energy Manipulation T1, and optional
Biolocation or Shadowing Out for T4-T5 Energy System Scanning.
Astral Projection - The first tier of out of body projections. This projection
type will allow the Psion to Project to the Astral Plane; a mental plane in
which all those project add to a collective imaginary landscape.
Requires Psionic Foundations T1-T2, Energy Constructs T1, Energy
Connections T1.
Adept Psionics (Tier Three Skills) [T3] - Skills that a Psion should learn after
Tier Two Skills.
Cryokinesis - With the mental Kinesis abilities the Psion is able to slow the
movement of atoms to lower the temperature of an object.
Expert Psionics (Tier Four Skills) [T4] - Skills that a Psion should learn after
Tier Three Skills.
Memory Manipulation - Mainly used with Mind Hacking. This skill involves
a Psion to gain access to the Energy System, or Subconscious Plane, etc,
access the Memories of the Target, and manipulate small memories. No
one can change or delete Core Memories.
Requires Energy Manipulation T2+, Energy Constructs T3+, Tendrilling,
Energetic Warfare, Biolocation T1+, Empathy T2, Psionic Foundations
T2, and Mind Hacking.
Mind Hacking - This set of skills allows a Psion to gain access into a
target's Subconscious Plane or Memory Bank. This set of skills can be used
for other things as well.
Requires Energy Manipulation T3, Energy Constructs T3+, Tendrilling,
Energetic Warfare, Biolocation T2+, Empathy T3+, Psionic Foundations
T2+, Boosts to Mind Hacking T5 with Shadowing Out.
Soul Diving - With an Entry and Certain Projection Types a Psion can gain
access to a target's Subconscious Plane. Within a target's Subconscious
Plane they can use Constructs to bring about a manifested world created
by the target's subconscious. This mental plane can be very unstable and
full of mental defenses but if explored could explain the target more than a
energetic scan.

Psionic Armor [T2] - Psionic Armor is reinforcing one's Energy System with
Standard to Advance Energy Constructs.
Passive Shield - A Passive Shield Construct allows a harder shield with less
defensive scripts at a lower energy requirement. They last longer but are
not as strong as Active Shields.
Active Shield - An Active Shield Construct is a burst type shield that can be
loaded with heavy defensive scripts at a higher energy requirement to
activate. They burst out the shield with a desired effect and for such last a
very short amount of time but are stronger than Passive Shields.
Known Bound Abilities - Abilities that are known in the Psionic Community not to

to that ability.
To help Psions understand the levels of progression I have made this Psionic Ability Tier System. It
starts from tier 1 to tier 5; or T1 to T5. Tier one abilities are base abilities that anyone can jump

There are also Latent Abilities as well that are normally only accessible by people born with them.

Most latent abilities can not be learned or taught. It's really you have it or you don't.

your missing chronok unless it falls in some other thing, biok, lunark unless you put
it with umbrak, and are you sure we can't junp tiers cause I was talking about it with
someone and we both agreed that either we can jump or there are some abilitys
you need to join to the latent class.

For you to jump tiers you have to be able to do the prerequisite in the other tier to
some extent.

I'm not sure if this would count as a latent ability but certain naturally talented
pyrokinetics and cryokinetics will have varying resistances to their respective
temperature affinity.

Pyro would be considered a Classical Kinetic type. That includes Water, Fire, Air,
Earth. As for Chronokinesis I do not know where to put that yet. Plus I do not know
the mechanics of Chrono.
