Another recording of Oistrakh as conductor - never available on CD, as far as I

know.
It goes without saying that from Koussevitzky to Szell, Celibidache, Bernstein,
Jansons etcetera there are sharper, virtuosic or monumental interpretations of it,
but this remains an authoritative reading.
