Course Description
This workshop discusses the relevance and value of integrating mind, body, and spirit techniques into direct mental health practice. The presenters will introduce a series of yogic techniques including postures, breath work, mindfulness, and meditation, specifically intended to lessen anxiety and depression. In order to understand the process and effects of these techniques, participants will have the opportunity to apply modifications depending on physical or mental needs. This workshop will offer clinical techniques, as well as suggestions for self-care to help prevent burn-out. This training benefits clinical professionals. Attendees will receive 3 Continuing Education credits.

Presenters
Dr. Sue Tebb is a Professor in the Saint Louis University School of Social Work. She has 40 years of social work experience working with health/mental health issues and families across the lifespan. Dr. Tebb currently teaches social work practice with BSSW and MSW students. Sue is a registered yoga instructor at the 200-hour level and currently is certified as a Life Force Yoga Therapist Level Two and Yoga with Older Adults teacher, offering workshops and classes, locally and nationally. Ms. Brockhaus received her MSW from Saint Louis University School of Social Work, with a specialization in Clinical Practice with

Support Coordinator at South City Preparatory Academy, a college prep charter school in St. Louis
City. Laurie is certified as a yoga instructor at the 200hour level and currently leads classes, special workshops, and teacher training sessions at Urban Breath Yoga in St. Louis, as well as a weekly class at the St. Louis City Juvenile Detention Center. She has taught yoga to children and adults in a number of settings since 2004.
