 Reaction paper

After watching the first video, I can express my need to do more and better, not Only with
my students but with people I find in my social life. To work together for the community.
Many times there is not a sense of humanity, things don’t happen near us, so it is not our
problem, but it really is. The war Colombia has been into for the last 50 years has left many
children without education or at least an education of quality. The school going to the child
program is a way of showing that in some way some people do care about the education in
Colombia and the importance of it and of keeping children out of the streets or working
instead of having the opportunity to study.

This program goes to the homes of the children that are not going to school to find out,
what is the reason that they aren´t attending and in the same way they try to help in
whatever the need of the family is. This program is a strategy promoted by UNICEF to help
students go back to school or go to school, because some of them haven’t had the chance to
go to a school and receive education.

Many times children don’t drop out of school because they have any kind of need, but
because they don’t feel comfortable at school or with the teachers. Schools have to
understand that they have to know and understand their students and adapt to the students
and not the students to school.

It’s nice to see that some organizations work on behalf of people, their needs and problems.
This program helps children and teenagers have the chance and opportunity to receive
education and stay out of the streets, out of drugs, drug dealing, prostitution and other
problems and dangers.

The educational revolution gives an idea that everyone will have the opportunity to have
education. To have the possibility to study from any corner of the world and not having or
assist to a university and still be able to complete your career is great news. It´s innovative
and each person is responsible for their own education. Yes, there are tutors, but each
student has to investigate and study on their own and in their own time to be able to finish
his or her activities on time. Education is something that involves all the society, it’s
important that everybody participate in building the 10-year plan, where institutions are
autonomous, people can express ideas online, we can participate in building the educational
projects that we want. It seems that the government has been actually thinking on the
importance of educating everybody and with collaboration of other entities has shown that
the key to a better future is to educate people.
