Introduction
Financial analysis is the examination of financial
information to reach business decisions. This
analysis typically involves an examination of
both historical and projected profitability, cash
flows, and risk. It may result in the reallocation
of resources to or from a business or a specific
internal operation. It is the process of evaluating
businesses, projects, budgets, and other finance
related transactions and statements too.
Typically, Financial analysis is used in analyzing
whether an entity is stable, solvent, liquid or
profitable in order to warranty for a monetary
investment. In this study or the report we'll be
performing the financial analysis of Birla Sun life
mutual funds.
It is conducted both internally and externally. It
uses the ratios and financial statements datas in
order to determine the value of a security.
Financial analysis can be conducted in both corporate
finance and investment finance settings.
Rationale: Importance and Significance

1. It will help us in analyzing whether Birla Sun Life

Mutual Funds is stable, solvent, liquid enough to make an

monetary investment in it.

2. The study will help us in determining whether we

should invest in the entity or the company rather than its

competitors.

3. The study will help to determine the correct financial

position if the entity.

4.If performed internally, it help us in knowing whether to

invest in an asset or working capital and how to finance it.


Objectives

1.To know the correct position ( Financial position)

of the Birla Sun Life mutual funds.

2.To assess the current and past performance of the

company, predicting its success or the failure and

this will help in decision making.

3.The study will help us in knowing whether to make

an monetary investment ( short term or long term,

Long term mainly) in the Birla Sun Life mutual

funds.
Hypothesis

The following hypothesis were formulated

1. My Study can predict the correct financial position of the

Birla Sun Life mutual funds.

2. My study can also determine whether to make an

investment in this company or not.

3. My study would also show the financial analysis of the

company.

4. My study may predict the solvency, liquidity, stability or

the profitability of this company.


Research Methodology

Descriptive research

Descriptive research is the methodology of research which is rigid

and no changes or any other manipulations can be done with it.

Descriptive research aims to accurately and to systematically

describe a population, situation or a phenomenon. A descriptive

research design can use a wide variety of research methods in order

to investigate.

For the study or the report we have choosen this method because the

Descriptive Research is rigid and no manipulations can be done by

us in it. And Financial analysis is also just like it, we have been

provided the statements and we have to analyse it with the methods

like ratios, etc. and can't do or manipulate it by our own.


Expected Outcomes

1.The study has shown the various ratios that can help
in knowing financial position of the company.

2. The study has also helped us in deciding whether to


invest in this company or not.

3.In this study we came to know about how a Financial


analysis of a company is performed.
