Urging the women entre-
preneurs to tap into oppor-
tunities in the emerging
technologies, aerospace, de-
fence and several other
new-age segments, Indus-
tries and IT Minister KT
Rama Rao said the govern-
ment would consider giving
50-100 acres for setting up
women-led enterprises.
He asked them to look at
areas that have the potential
for value creation and large
scale employment.
The Minister also an-
nounced a new initiative of
the government —
Udyamika — a new indus-
trial wing that will offer a
single-window system to
address the grievances of
the women entrepreneurs.
It will offer end-to-end
support for women entre-
preneurs, have a committee
to review and process the
incentives and also create a
corpus fund that will be
used for increasing the ease
of doing business for
women entreprencurs, he
said.

“Hyderabad supplied
one-third of the vaccines
used globally. We are also a
key contributor in the
pharma segment. There
cannot be any reason for not
thinking big or venturing
into new areas. You should
think of changing the
world,” he said.
The 50-acre FICCI-FLO
Industrial Park has been al-
lotted to 25 entrepreneurs
and about five of them have
begun operations. Rama Rao
asked the remaining mem-
bers to take up their respec-
tive projects without further
delay as this would lead to
the creation of new jobs.
Telangana has been sup-
porting and advising the
women entrepreneurs and
will continue to do so, he
said adding that ten per cent
of each industrial park is
earmarked for women-led
enterprises.
He urged the women en-
trepreneurs to avail the
services of We-Hub, India’s
first and only State-led incu-
bator to promote and foster
women’s entrepreneurship
by incubation, access to gov-
ernment and creating a
global collaborative net-
work for women-led enter-
prises to thrive, with respect
to validation of their busi-
ness ideas.
We Hub so far worked
more than 5,000 entre-
preneurs and incubated
about 150 startups and
helped raise more than Rs 65
crore in funding, he said.
Telangana has progressed
on multiple fronts since the
State’s formation in 2014.
‘There were a lot of appre-
hensions about the State’s
ability to attract new invest-
ments and preserve the cul-
tural fabric.
“Telangana is a forward-
looking State. Any entrepre-
neur can start operations on
day one. All industrial ap-
provals are through single
window TS-iPASS, which
has so far given over 18,000
clearances with the poten-
tial to create employment
for 16 lakh people,” he said.

of Rs 250 crore and generate
employment for about 2,000
people.
