The reason I chose Plastic waste is because is a serious Topic


that people don't talk about often, plastic Waste Burdens our
economy and it also threatens the health of our environment
this includes animals, wildlife, rivers, lakes and oceans
Facts and Issues

■ Some 18 billion pounds. of plastic waste flows into the oceans


every year 18 BILLION!!! That’s the equivalent of five grocery
bags of plastic trash sitting on every foot of coastline around the
world.
■ 40 percent of plastic produced is in packaging, that has been
used just once and then discarded.
■ Only 9 percent of Plastic Ever made has likely been recycled
■ Nearly half of all plastic ever manufactured has been made
since 2000

Facts About This Should Concern you because Plastic Releases a

negative impact on the animals and plant habitat Once
Issues released, the gas emissions can be toxic and have
adverse effects on the environment and human health.
Ever Year countless animals are killed by Plastic waste
animals including, seabirds, fish, turtles and marine
mammals are found to plastic bags in their stomachs.

change
Tips on how to reduces Your plastic Consumption
■ Avoid single-use plastics such as drinking straws.
■ If you go shopping, remember to take a cloth bag.
■ Recycle chewing gum... it's also make of plastic!
■ Buy more bulk food and fewer packaged products.
■ Replace plastic Tupperware for glass or steel containers.
■ buy a biodegradable brush and wear natural fabrics
