Walking, Running and Hiking (Sharing of Space) Environment.

Objective:

Create a 45-min lesson plan that includes protocols and cues for an introductory Walking, Running and Hiking lesson for secondary
students.

Directions:
1. Read Chapter 19 in Teaching Cues for Sport Skills

2. Outline a 45-min lesson plan for secondary students. Feel free to use my template below or make your own that you are
comfortable with
 Include a list of 8 skills and cues you would use to teach a class of beginner students. Include a mix of Walking,
Running and Hiking
 Include a list of 5 protocol for your class. Use page 10 from TCSS as a reference (hint: think safety and behavior
expectations)

Lesson Plan

Activity: Walking, Running and Hiking

Objective: trail, track field, and mini hills.

Lesson Outline: For this lessons we will all practice walking, running and hiking in a safe way. Yes everyone
understands and knows how to walk and run but there’s technique and correct ways to everything.
Equipment Needed: Hills, Track filed, tennis shoes.

Protocols:
