Road Fatalities by User Categories and The Causes of Road Accidents

INTRODUCTION

Figure 1 shows deaths by road user category while Table 1 displays causes of
road accidents.

OVERVIEW

The causes of road accidents influenced the deaths of road user

ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS

1. Motorcyclists recorded the most number of deaths among the other road
users with 60% because they exposed to all the seven causes.
2. Among the causes of road accidents, excessive speeding was the main
causes category for all road user categories.
3. In Table 1 pedestrians showed the least causes of road accidents with
only 2 causes and they were the third least deaths by road user category
with 9%.
4. Bus drives/passengers, truck drivers/ passengers, car drivers and car
passenger share the same causes of road accidents but different
percentage which is bus drivers/passengers and truck drivers/passengers
respectively 1% of deaths, car drivers recorded 15% of deaths while car
passengers recorded 5% of death less than car drivers.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the deaths by road user category were influenced by the
causes of road accidents.
