Abstract

This is about crane operators. One thing that had to get done by the senior class. It was there for

a purpose and the topic of crane operators in the trades. Being a crane operator comes with many

challenges and various amounts of responsibilities that in certain situations could cause the life

of you and possible co-workers to end because of grievous negligence. There are vast amounts of

certifications and specific qualifications and qualities that are in a successful crane operator.

Number one would be that you can think and operate under immense stress and pressure for

there might be certain conditions that you are operating in and you will have to take the utmost

responsibility and caution.

Number two would be being a good worker and doing what you are there is a lot of downtime in

being a crane operator which you have to fill and that is something that you have to do with

being able to snap back to work at the moments notice, And now on to some facts about the job

in Minnesota. The median salary for a crane operator is around $82,500 dollars per year and on a

standard calculation that comes out to around $40 dollars per hour. That is not the top of the pay

grade the top par grade depends on how many certifications that you have, for example, if you

had only a few certifications you would be making more than $40 per hour but not a whole lot

more. If you could get all the certifications it would be far more than $40 per hour. This shows

that the occupation of a crane operator is a very viable career in the area of “Trades” as some

would call it. This is a brief summary of a few things about crane operators.
