Dear Parents/Caregivers

Ng mihi o te w kia koe me te whnau. Tomorrow sees the first day of Spring. We are all enjoying the wonderful daffodils and warmer weather. The excitement is building as we look forward to the many fantastic events in September. The World Cup being one of them! On Friday 2 September, a group of students (selected from our School-wide Reward Scheme for excellent behaviour) will travel with Miss Jones to Winton to meet the All Blacks who are visiting Southland to promote the Tournament. Tomorrow our school skiers will depart for Coronet Peak for a great day on the slopes. This is always a fantastic opportunity to experience great skiing at a very reasonable cost. Miss Morrison, Miss Horrell and Miss Gorton are all ready for their 5.30am start! Thank you all for your support of the School Council fundraiser for the Cancer Society last Friday. Yesterday our BP Technology Challenge students (Robbie Gill, Jesse Hawken & Alex Thompson) did extremely well and were awarded 3rd place in this event at Waianawa. Thank you to Nathan Gill and Bruce Thomson for providing transport to this event for the students. Regards
