TARIQ MANSOOR ‘rove: fem catarigreorn Ms (Surge), FICS foc, (On ovartaromot En Segomech Vice-Chancellor 02% April 2023, Dear Members of AMU Family, Assalamualaikum! ‘As I demit my office, this isthe last time I write to you as Vice-Chancellor. | have been privileged to have had the opportunity of leading this great institution in the past 6 years through good and challenging times. | began my journey in AMU almost 5 decades ago as a student. Having studied, taught served and lead the university for so many memorable years, | am filed wth emotions which will forever remain an integral part of me. | thank my teachers, teaching colleagues, non-teaching staff, students, alumni and well-wishers for having made my journey so special and memorable. Whatever has been achieved was made possible because of the remarkable ‘commitment of all of you and for the trust you reposed in me. | am obliged to ‘each one of you. | especially fee! proud in how all of us came together in facing adversities from time to time, most notably during the gloom of Covid-19 pandemic. We were able to successfully transit to online mode by augmenting the digital infrastructure of the university while at the same time caracitating the human resource capabilities of our students and staff. ‘Together, we expanded the University’s footprint in emerging and employment generating areas of knowledge such as College of Nursing, Para Medical College, Artificial Intelligence, Food Technology, Automobile Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Data Sciences, Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Disaster Management, Hospital Administration, Renewable Energy, MCH (Neuro Surgery), DM (Cardiology), PG in new subjects in Unari Medicine, Agricultural Sciences ete. | was blessed to have had the opportunity to lead AMU into the centenary. A sitting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi graced our University function — Centenary Year Celebrations 2020 ~ after a gap of 64 years, Lauding AMU's ‘contribution towards nation building, PM's speech will be remembered as an important landmark in AMU’s history in which he also called AMU a ‘Mini India’ age of2ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY Aligarh - 202 002, U.P,, India. Our fundamentals in research, equity, human resource, infrastructure, accreditation and most importantly, values are strong, | have served the University with full commitment, integrity and tothe best of my abilties with the support of all of you. However, | express my profound regrets for any shortcomings during my tenure or action on my part that may have pained any one of you.
