Philips PLC quad lamps are up to four times more energy-efficient than comparable incandescent lamps and last up to ten times longer. This means substantial cost savings in tetms of eneray, replacement light bulbs and the cost of changing them Because PLC: lamps employ three rare earth phosphors, they have an 82 Color Rendering Index. Combined with their 2700° Kelvin temperature, this produces exception- ally good color qualty and color rendering, similar to incan- descents and superior to standard fluorescents, PLC: lamps incorporate a starter in the base, permitting the design of more compact fixtures that are less costly 10, design and manufacture. Their single-ended construction PLC* Compact Lamp Clusters Open New Worlds of Design Possibilities High Hat Ceiling Fixtures Outdoor Lights, C Desk Lamps: ‘means more design freedom and simple wiring, which also lowers manufacturing costs. Single-ended construction also permits easy relamping with a simple pull-and-push, ‘And since PLC: lamps consume less power, less heat is generated, allowing more freedom of choice in luminaire materials. ‘Two Types of PLC* Lamp Clusters to Choose From!
