ADAMS SCV - 30Z.01.B-GB 10 Actuator 10.1 Standard Equipment and Description of the Closing Aid SCV valves can be equipped as standard with a closing aid (7000). The closing aid comprises a spring closing pneumatic cylinder, a quick-action vent valve, a 3/2 way solenoid valvé and a filter pressure regulator unit. The arrangement of the individual components is shown by the following wiring diagram. Filter \ I Fig. 23 1 = Single-acting pneumatic cylinder, spring-closing 2 = Quick-action vent valve 3 = 3/2 way solenoid valve 4 = Filter reduction valve The control holds the 3/2 way seat solenoid valve, which works according to the zero flow principle. When the solenoid valve is in its home position (stress-free state), the pressure space of the closing aid is linked to the ambient air by a quick-action vent valve, the compressed air is cut-off and the closing aid is actuated. The "OPEN and/or CLOSED position of the closing aid is indicated by a contactless limit switch (inductive sensors). The spring force is sufficiently great to ensure that the frictional force within the valve is overcome and the disc is closed. When the solenoid valve is excited, the closing spring is tensioned and the disc can oscillate freely. The design of the closing aids requires a control pressure of 5-8 bar. 10.2 Description of Actuator For the actuator please foliow the installation, operating and maintenance instructions of the actuator manufacturer.
