Designing A Booklet About Palembang Using AI (Artificial Intelegent)

CHAPTER I
BACKGROUND

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a of computer science sector specialized to

solving cognitive problems generally related with human intelligence, such
as learning, problem solving and pattern recognition. Intelligence is
created and entered into a computer so that it can do work like humans .
Several kinds of application of AI technology in everyday life such as
Virtual reality, smart cars, adjustable phone cameras, online drivers and
Google's predictive search algorithm.
At this time AI is becoming the attention for many people because AI has
developed and has been used in several new inventions, according to the
topic that the writer is interested namely, AI also indirectly threatens the
artistical and work of illustrators. Because AI can make illustrations very well,
without the limitations of ideas and imagination, AI continues to grow, users
only need to write down what kind of imagination and ideas they wish to make
into illustrations made by AI.

However AI still has weaknesses such as illustrations that don't match

what users wanted and even has no emotion and effort that should exist in
every illustration made by humans in general. but it is not impossible that AI
in the future will have all the aspects that humans have to do everything,
especially now that AI is not the final result and will continue to develop in the
future. Palembang is known as the kota pempek because there is the origin
of Palembang's signature food called pempek, not only that Palembang has
intresting tourist destinations, also with signature foods, and their culture.
and definetly interesting to learn.

Booklet is a communication medium that aims to convey promotional

messages, suggestions, prohibitions to mass audience, and in print. So the
end of the goal is so that the people who are the target of the message
understand and obey the message contained in the communication media. If
the definition of booklet is viewed from the production side, then it can be
taken the notion that the booklet is a print media that aims to disseminating
information, imparting information. So the general view people say that
booklets are not much different from promotions or sponsors As for the
elements of the booklet In terms of content, the booklet consists of a cover,
table of contents, introduction, contents and bibliography.

For the contents of the booklet the writer like to show the uniqueness and
beauty of Palembang ilustrate through AI along with a description of each
object. The advantage of using AI for promotional media and increasing the
attractiveness of tourists especially at Palembang, because creativity of the
illustrations created. The writer hopes that this booklet can become an idea
and creativity and readers will become interested in the world of AI for good
purposes and provide benefits in the future.
 The rapid development of technology indirectly forces everyone to take
advantage of the situation and develop with existing technology. Based on
the discussion above, the writer is interested in choosing the topic
“Designing A Booklet About Palembang Using AI (Artificial Intelegent)”
for this Final Report. The writer wants to provide detailed information about
some tourism through booklet.

The problem is how to design a booklet to About Palembang Using AI
Artificial Intelegent

The purpose of this final report is to design an booklet that contains Palembang
illustration made by AI

There are some benefits for the research, those are :

It give knowledge and information to the writer the use of AI can bring
many benefits in the future

2. For Sriwijaya State Polytechnic

Readers can learn and know about the knowledge and benefits gained
from AI and this research is expected to be used to add references as
material for more in-depth research in the future.
