COMPLEXITY: The more complex an organization, the greater the need for effective
coordination, communication and control devices.  The Company where I completed
my internship did not have a complex structure.  The communication between the
managers and employees was effective. The communication between the managers
and the interns was through broadcasting. The coordination and control over the
employees were up to the mark. The Complexity level of the  Company was Low. 

2. FORMALIZATION:  The degree of formalization can vary widely among and within
organizations. The job we had in the organization had little formalization. We had to
contact our friends and family and pitch them to sell our product. We had received a
standard sales pitch, and the extent of rules and procedures governing their behaviour
may be a little more than requiring the submission of a daily sales report (DSR). We
had to report to our reporting manager by sending them a morning selfie, Nifty50,
Sensex, Gold rate, News of the day and Thought of the day before 11 AM as our daily
attendance.

3. CENTRALIZATION: Our organisation’s centralization level is high. As the decision-


making is concentrated on a single individual in the organization. Mr Himalayan Sethi
is the decision-maker of Agile Capital Services organization. He sets the goals, budget
allocations, personnel, the ways in which work is to be done, and ways to improve the
organizational unit’s effectiveness. 

6. HOW IT PROCESS: The Company where I did my internship was a BFSI Sector .
As the company is a startup, the size of the company in terms of manpower is not very
large but around 20-50 employees. The turnover of the company is not revealed but
given a hint of around 1-2 crores.
7. WHAT KIND OF EMPLOYEES ARE THERE?
I was required to grasp the concept of Financial Sectors and manage to sell the
product. In the very first week, a brief introduction about the company and how it
works was given by the company guide and HR, providing the road map of the future
process of SIP.

Organization Life

The organizational culture of the company is very much of a clan culture, which is people-
oriented, amiable, and collaborative. It is not structured based and anyone can communicate
with any department whether it is being vertically or horizontally.
Agile Capital Services Pvt.Ltd is a startup company which got commenced in 2021 during
the covid times, which is held privately and the company size is about 20-50 employees, with
this, it is a consulting firm that caters to the needs and wants of affluent customers for
investment management.

Inputs, Outputs and Process

INPUTS: Our company had provided us with international and domestic level programs. We
had got exposure to mixed specializations ie human resources and marketing which increased
our theoretical knowledge in the BFSI sector.
 OUTPUTS: After the 2 months of training, we improved our communication skills, and
presentation skills, and gained knowledge about the stock market, and mutual funds. Learned
about updating the daily sales report.

Miles and Snow’s Strategy Theory

Miles And Snow’s strategy-structure theory is management’s assessment of environmental


uncertainty. The management has a combination of an analyzer and a defender. Management
perceives little change and uncertainty in the environment under the defender strategy. Their
goals are stability, efficiency and flexibility.
The company has strategic apex as its dominant factor. Here the top-level managers are
charged with overall responsibility. Here the control is centralized so which means the
organization is in a simple structure.
