This document describes two ethical dilemmas faced by public officials:
1. A traffic warden catches a person breaking a red light on their way to the hospital in an emergency. The warden must decide whether to follow the law and issue a ticket, or show leniency given the emergency situation.
2. A public administrator finds that a company has violated regulations and faces penalties. However, penalizing the company could cause job losses. The administrator must decide whether to enforce the law and penalties or show leniency to protect jobs.
In both cases, the officials must balance either following the laws objectively or showing subjective responsibility based on circumstances.

A person who is going to an hospital. They Ride bike fast on the road and He see that on road that signal is Red. but they want to reach early as possible and they break the traffic signal and traffic warden caught the person and asked him to why break you traffic signal. He told to him that its was the emergency, he is going to hospital because of his family member admit in the hospital, He check them. Because of this reason they broke the signal. It’s traffic warden upon him that take Ethical Decision between Follow the laws & Rule and truth or loyalty. 1.(Subjective Responsibility) If Traffic warden see that it’s an emergency then take Ethical Decision, then they leave the person and don’t cut the challen. 2.(Objective Responsibility) If Traffic warden take Decision on according to law, then they cut the challan Our Opinion: Traffic warden take decision on according to Subjective Responsibility. 2. Public Administrator Ethical Dilemma:
A Public Administrator officer have duty to
check the companies work on according to Rule and Regulation. A company have created within industry violated regulations and penalties have charged by P.A officer. P.A officer charged the penalty then Company faces huge loss and many workers become job less. In such a situation P.A officer take Decision between enforcing of law and serving the public interest of the industry. 1.(Subjective Responsibility) If P.A officer does not charge the penalty to company. They save the worker job.
2.(Objective Responsibility) If P.A officer
charge the penalty to company. They follow the Law and complete his responsibility. Our Opinion: P.A officer take decision on Objective Responsibility. and they relief on penalty. This decision is good for Public services.
