There are many unresolved problems in evolution such as big brains in humans, the evolution of human
female orgasm, Australopithecus Sediba, End of Human Evolution and many more.
BIG BRAINS IN HUMAN
According to research, our ancestors possessed brains that were comparable to those of modem
chimpanzees as recently as 2 millon years ago. But after that, hominid brains started to expand rapidly,
and they did so untl they reached a size that was close to that of today, which happened around 160,000
years ago. Although scientists are in agreement that hominids must have had a significant evolutionary
advantage due to their massive brains, itis unknown what exactly led to the enormous growth oftheir
brains.
THE EVOLUTION OF HUMAN FEMALE ORGASM
This may seem a litle strange, but why do women get orgasms? " has baffled scientists for quite some
time. Orgasms are not necessary for conception, and women can have them even if they are not having
reproductive intercourse, There are a few possibilties out there, despite the fact that experts haven't been
able to come up with a solution, One of these hypotheses contends that orgasms are essentially leftover
relics of evolution. Another idea contends that orgasms are related to ovulation rather than reproduction.
AUSTRALOPITHECUS SEDIBA
Australopithecus Sediba, known as the "Ant-Missing Link,” has left researchers with numerous
unanswered concerns, The fossilized Au skeletons were found in Malapa, South Attica, in 2008, Sediba are
astoundingly complete. The presence of evolved and primitive features that represent a portion of the
evolution toward bipedal walking has been made clear by scientists, The legs and feet, however, exhibit an
unusual method of upright walking. Placing Au.sediba in an evolutionary position is challenging due to the
mixture of evolved features present in the genus homo and primitive traits shown in other
australopithecines.
END OF HUMAN EVOLUTIONWhether or not humans are still evolving is a subject of continuing discussion. Since we can currently
sustain even the weakest members of our species, some experts, including renowned British naturalist
David Attenborough, think that humans have already finished evolving—at least physically. This idea states
that we are no longer subject to Darwinian natural selection. Yet, some experts contend that human
evolution i stl under progress, therefore it appears that only time will be able to provide an answer.
Mutation, Gene Migration, Genetic Drift and Natural Selection are the things that can affect evolution;
‘Sometimes, gene variants (also known as mutations) prevent one or more proteins from working properly
By changing a gene's instructions for making a protein, a variant can cause a protein to malfunction or to
not be produced at all
Gene flow has the effect of reducing genetic diversity among populations, inhibiting or delaying the
development of populations in various geographic locations into cstinct species of the disease
Rare alleles can disappear due to genetic dri, which can also shrink the gene pool. The idea that genetic
drift plays a role in the evolution of new species has arisen from the fact that genetic drift can also result in
‘anew population being genetically diverse from its parent population.
{An evolutionary mechanism is natural selection. Environment-adapted organisms have a higher chance of
surviving and dispersing the genes that contributed to their success. Over time, this mechanism leads to
the evolution and divergence of species.
All| can do as a student with regard to evolution dificultiesissues is study, investigate, and delve
into that problem unti | fully gti. | can only postit on my social media networks to raise
awareness of the issue and let people know that itis stil an evolving issue.
