1. Background

Religion is one part that very important in human life. There so many religion in the

world. Religion is the system of belief in human perspective that influent social interaction

and value.

India is one country that has varieties of religion in that society. There are Hinduism,

Islam, Christian, Buddhism, and etc. the religions in India give many contribution of interact

and construct civilization.

Films in India that have the brand of production as Bollywood is the great and

productive industry. There so many film that present almost every month. But the theme of

films is generally in a few years also about the influences of religion in society.

PK is one of many India film products that get so many appreciations. This film was

categorizing as controversial that get positive and negative response of people who watch it.

The familiar critic in India people was about the cover of film that shows the main character

without dress. Then in one conference the creation team changed the cover to the main

character wear Indian traditional cloth and using a music instrument.

 Film as one of varieties of literature product, described the social life of society. PK

film also describes the life of religion in India by the neutral of point of view. Therefore this

film will be an object of research to analyze the religious symbol in India society. This

research do by the consideration of the importance to increase the understanding of people

when face the symbolism in religion, especially in Christian, Islam, and Hindu as the

common belief system there.

This kind of research was done by some people, the research that be referred was

written bellow:
