    This article examines the deformation characteristics of dry Hostun sand when the principal stress axes are rotated. Laboratory tests were conducted where dry Hostun sand specimens were consolidated isotropically and then subjected to drained triaxial compression tests with rotation of the principal stress axes. The test results showed that the stress-strain and volumetric behavior depended on the direction and rate of rotation of the principal stresses.
