Flash forward

"Could it be?" "My long lost wife". He followed the sweet voice of a voice he recognized so well,
and even without being able to see, he ran as fast as he could. He stumbled on the desert sand,
but got right back up and continued to run closer and closer to the voice. Once the voice
sounded as if it was right in front of him he stopped. He could feel his wife’s arms around his
neck it was a feeling he hadn’t felt for many years. He felt the tears of his wife run down his
face, and suddenly he could see as he did before. His wife saw the bloody rag over his eyes
and knew exactly what had happened and told the prince "You are safe now and have nothing
to worry about". The prince felt relieved.

Dream sequence

I was terrified as I saw a man had climbed up my hair into the tower, so I kept my distance. But
he said "Don’t worry I’m not here to hurt you" "I heard your singing and couldn’t resist knowing
who it was". He talked to her showing that he was a friend she soon realized she could trust
him. He had asked her to marry him, and because he was a young handsome man she said
yes. Right then she woke up due to a cry "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let down your hair to me."
That’s when she realized the prince that was to save her was only a dream.

I picked the techniques "Dream sequence” and "Flash forward". Used the technique of flash
forward by showing a moment in the story ending to make the reader interested in how the story
got to that moment and therefore the reader feels interested in reading it. I also used the
technique of dream sequence. I did this by portraying a moment in the story via the main
character’s dream. This way the reader has details and insight into future characters or events.
