The Lorax
The story is set in the town of Thneedville, where the air is polluted, and
called O’Hare, Inc., which sells them artificial trees that are made of plastic and are
meant to satisfy their desire for nature. The protagonist of the movie, Ted, is a young
boy who becomes interested in learning about the natural world and sets out to find
a real tree for the girl he likes. Ted's journey takes him outside the town, where he
meets the Once-ler, a reclusive businessman who tells him the story of how he
destroyed the natural environment and the ecosystem to build his business empire.
The Once-ler's story shows how he started with a small business idea to harvest the
tufts of Truffula trees to knit "thneeds" - a multi-functional object - that were loved by
everyone. But as his business grew, he became more and more focused on profit,
polluting the air and water, and ignoring the warning of the Lorax - a creature that
speaks for the trees and tries to protect them. As a result of his actions, the Truffula
trees are destroyed, and the ecosystem collapses, leading to the departure of the
Lorax and the disappearance of all the other animals that depended on the trees.
The Once-ler, who was once successful and wealthy, is left alone in a wasteland.
The Lorax, therefore, shows the dangers of unchecked corporate greed and the
need for businesses to take responsibility for their actions. The Once-ler's pursuit of
profit led to the destruction of the environment, which, in turn, affected his business
and the livelihoods of all the other creatures in the ecosystem. His failure to consider
the long-term consequences of his actions resulted in the demise of his business

Similarities
Trees, the pollution of the air and water, and the displacement of the native wildlife,
including the beloved Lorax. The Lorax, who is a mystical creature that speaks for
the trees and the environment, tries to stop the Once-ler from his destructive path
but fails. The Once-ler's greed ultimately leads to the demise of the entire
ecosystem.
Similarly, Ikea has been criticized for its business practices that have led to
energy to harvest, transport, and process. The production process also generates a
lot of waste, including sawdust and other by-products that are often discarded. The

responsibility to consider the impact of their actions on the environment and the
wider community. This movie is also a call to action for businesses to adopt
sustainable practices, reduce their carbon footprint, and invest in renewable energy.

prioritize sustainability and social responsibility can be successful in the long run,
In conclusion, "The Lorax" and Ikea are two examples of how corporate greed

natural habitats and the consequences of not doing so. It encourages people to take
action and make changes in their own lives to reduce their impact on the
environment. The Lorax has become a symbol for environmental activism and
sustainability, inspiring people to become more aware of their impact on the planet
