Company Profile:

1. This will maintain basic detail of the organization like
a. Company Information
b. Fiscal year
c. Language Settings
d. Business Hours

2. Company Information :
a. Organization Id :
1. Salesforce by default provide 15 character uniqueId for every
force.com Instance.
2. Based on this Id, salesforce will recognize your production.
3. Id is also called Organization Id.

b. Corporate Currency :
1. This will specify format in which currency of your company
represented.
2. In case if you enable multiple currencies, then currencies are
converted based on
corporate currency.

c. Default Language :
1. This will specify the language in which documents or UI will be
represented.
2. Default locale : This will specify sub-language.

d. Edition/Instance/Space :
1. Company Information provide the details about the Edition we are
using and Instance
of the server and space used and left.

e. Default Time-zone.

f. Licenses purchased by organization, how many are used and how many are
left.

3. Fiscal Year :
a. This will specify the business year for your organization.
b. There are two types of Fiscal years
1. Standard Fiscal year
2. Custom Fiscal year

c. Standard Fiscal year :


1. This will take 12 months format, break the year into four quaters
2. If you enable standard fiscal year, salesforce manages standard
forecasting

d. Custom Fiscal year :


1. Once you enable this, we cannot disable this or revert back.
2. We have two options
a. 12 Months
b. 53 Weeks
3. If we enable the custom fiscal, we need to manage the forecast from
our end.

4. Language Settings :
a. This will specify list of languages that your organization want to
support or translate.

b. End-user Languages:
1. If I choose any language from these, entire application will be
converted into that
language except Help and Setup menu.

c. platform-only languages :
1. If we choose any language from these, salesforce will not translate
into that language.
2. These are applied for those functionalities that are developed by
user on force.com.
3. Salesforce provides the concept of translation workbench to
translate the custom functionalities
into the language you want.
