The one show that has made me cry out of laughter during every single episode is Brooklyn Nine-

Nine, watching it being one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It has undoubtedly some of the
finest written and developed characters in sitcoms as their different, yet unique personalities
seamlessly complement each-other.

The show follows Jake Peralta, a highly talented but immature NYPD detective, who initially comes
into conflict with his new commanding officer, the stern and ‘robotic’ Captain Raymond Holt. B99’s
humor has it all: from self-deprecating jokes to nonsensical puns and even sarcasm and satires.
However, none of them may be considered dad jokes as they are spot on with the given context.
What’s more, the fact that they’re told in a clever and spontaneous manner makes them even more
likeable. One of the best lines in the show is ,, We've busted murderers; We've taken down cartels.
But today we face the worst New York has to offer- The Fire Department.’’ which shows how far
Jake’s hate for firefighters really goes. (and also his goofy personality)

One big plus about this show is that it tends to pick up on controversial subjects, such as the Black
Lives Matter campaign and LGBTQ rights, without fearing media’s reaction. They believe these
issues must be promoted (spoken of) more in TV rather than being completely ignored like most
shows do nowadays.

I really enjoyed watching this show as it is very relaxing and quite therapeutic, especially after a hard
day at school. Seeing the playful, yet loving banter between the squad always brightens up my day. I
recommend B99 to anyone who’s looking for a nice sitcom with well-built characters and interesting
storyline. (Though I think everyone should try it out!)
