PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

I. PROJECT TITLE: ROBOTS (Reinvigorating and Optimizing the Brilliant Minds of

Outstanding Innovators towards Transformative Scientific
Goals)

II. PROBLEM STATEMENT

Science is everywhere. Its essence has undoubtedly changed the world and
has affected aspects of our lives. Its importance in students' lives and the widely
useful problem-solving and critical thinking abilities it fosters, is known to be its
significance. These are lifelong abilities that enable students to yield ideas, make
wise decisions, and even comprehend the supporting data for public policy.
However, due to certain circumstances that are beyond control, like the
Covid-19 pandemic that put science into its critical stage and phase, it needs
revitalization to continuously develop the minds of the young innovators as agents of
social transformation. The continuing struggle of the institution to boost scientific and
brilliant minds is the very heart of the project ROBOTS. Specifically, it targets to
address the following concerns:
a. Instructional gap. Instruction is the heart of the curriculum. With the valuable
effort of the institution to sustain quality assured science subject, the
pandemic left a print that affected not just the minds but even the
achievement of the scientific goal as the springboard of the science
curriculum especially in the standardized assessment (NAT and other-related
assessments)
b. Development of Scientific Skills and Application of Scientific Processes.
One of the scientific goals is to develop the minds of the students through
scientific skills and scientific processes, however, situations beyond control
have drawn and built borders that obstructed the acquisition of the latter.
c. Other Science-Related Activities. Science does not only prepare the
students for academic endeavors, rather it also envisions to develop and hone
skills and potential gearing to wholesome and holistic development. This
includes the student’s participation in the school-based science activities,
districts, divisions, regionals and even in the national competitions.
III. ROOT CAUSES
For science teaching to be effective in promoting learning, it must involve
interaction between teachers and students. This interaction should create an
ambiance of scientific consensus that shall mold and shape the student’s attitude,
establish networks, and respond to cognitive shortcomings. However,
nonconformance is taking place that led to unsatisfactory result of the initial
specifications.
Administrators, teachers, and students have further identified common causes
of the existing predicaments and issues that include instructional deficiency,
Inadequate activities that support and develop the student’s skills and potential,
inadequate activities for the basic enhancement of the competencies, lack of
program that gear students in the achievement of transformative scientific goals.

IV. SMART GOAL

At the end of the S.Y. 2023 and onwards, GMNAS through the Project ROBOTS,
has developed and nurtured at least 75% increased enrolment rate, established an
organization (Science Club) that spearheaded in the implementation of the Project
ROBOTS with developed effective, efficient, functional, and dynamic officers and
members of the club; innovative teachers that established a channel that addressed
student’s concern regarding proficiency in scientific concepts; honed attitudes and
skills of the students in science and its various branches; developed competitive and
inner-directed students; and supported the school in implementing its development
plans and programs leading to wholesome and holistic development of its clients,
stakeholders, and benefactors and the entire GMNAS community.
