CURRENCY.

In South Africa, the Rand was introduced as the currency of


South Africa in 1961 after replacing the former South African
Pound and the ISO code of the South African rand is the
ZAR, which is an acronym for the Dutch words “Zuid-
Afrikaanse rand”.
Whereas in Philippines they use the Philippine Peso.it is
the official currency of Philippines. The Philippine Peso is
issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines (CBF).
Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika” is the title of their national anthem, and
means “God Bless Africa.” It is the only one in the world
to contain stanzas in five different languages.
Xhosa , Zulu ,Sesotho ,Afrikaans and English. It was sung
to demonstrate their displeasure during the Apartheid
years.
In Philippines “Lupang Hinirang” is the title of their national
anthem meaning “Chosen Land”, is the national anthem of
the Philippines. They sing it to show their hopes, dreams,
ideals, and their love and affection for their country. It is
sung during flag ceremonies in schools and offices, before
the initial and last screening of films, and other official or
important occasions.
This the traditional dressing for men and women in both
Philippines (picture to left) and South Africa (picture to right).
Traditional dresses are worn during special occasions like
Independence Day celebrations, weddings etc.

PHILIPPINES.

Puerta Princesa Subterranean River National Park.
 There are 175+ languages in the country.
 It boasts three of the world's ten largest shopping
malls - SM Megamall, SM North Edsa and SM Mall of
Asia.
 It has an island with more volcanoes than towns.
 It's the home of Asia's first Basketball League.
