3*¢ Grade Consumerism Dear Third Grade Families, Attached you will find your child’s Snow Learning packet. Each third grader in our district is receiving the same packet. This packet is also available online on the Grant County Schools website, Please place this packet in your home where it is easily accessible. You may start working on this packet at any time. Our topic this year is consumerism. Our goal is for every third grader to learn three important aspects of consumerism, 1. Wants and Needs 2. Good and Services 3. Supply and Demand ‘You will find an informative booklet on Consumerism that will assist in learning the vocabulary your child needs to complete the project. Please help your child read this booklet. Your child will complete activities for each aspect. After completing the activities, your child will create and presenta project based on one aspect. Please use the rubric enclosed in this packet to insure your child is completing all components of Snow Learning ‘We have organized the packet so that it will be easier for you and your child. Wants vs. Needs) using examples, details, illustrations, and so on. Tell all about what you learned. Your options for this presentation are pretty wide. Some ideas are posters, power point, file folder, tri-fold board,, create a game, comic book, Venn diagram, T-chart, etc. Please don’t be limited by these ideas.
