The Student Manage Their Time Using Technology

An essay about how students manage their time from using technology, how does
technology change the life of every student. Does this digital innovation help them in a positive way or
not? Is it helpful for them to be productive or not? Topic such as time management were also stated
and discussed. Time management for students has become a crucial need. Education has become vast.
Therefore, proper scheduling of time is important.

Right from the smallest task to the most important ones, everything is available at our
fingertips, thanks to the use of gadgets and internet. Parents can now check out and even apply to a
larger number of schools for admitting their children, without even having to take a day off and stand
in serpentine lines for hours. They can check up on their kid’s performance, progress and reports, pay
fees, and check any notifications from their teachers. Thanks to technology, students can make up for
their missed classes by downloading class notes or sharing them online. Certain institutions also have
recorded copies of the class lectures available for students. Teachers can expand their classroom
resources infinitely. Educators are constantly looking for the technological tools that are going to
enhance the learning of their students. However, technology has been viewed as a great resource in
classrooms that has heightened learning but has its negative effects on student learning and focus.

Digital gadgets are widespread throughout society and on campuses, including computers,
tablets, and smartphones. Higher education has benefited greatly from the widespread use of these
devices in many ways. Students can now answer instantly to online surveys, work together in real time
on written assignments, and interact with a variety of media more freely than ever before. However, we
all understand that digital devices can also be a hindrance to education, insofar as they enable students
who are prone to distraction to engage in the perception that they can multitask at no cost to their
learning. using technology well involves being intentional, flexible, and transparent. Recent
experiences with remote learning have confirmed the idea that digital devices may be effectively
blended into the learning environment, frequently in ways that we might want to keep using in a
classroom. Technology can be useful for gathering real-time feedback on student learning, encouraging
cooperation, and assisting students in paying more attention to the readings and other course-related
materials. However, I tend to disagree on the article that students are more distracted on using their free
time on socials and digital platforms. Not all students were privilege to use technology and digital
devices. The moment school fantasize innovative learning, they were also embracing the use of
cellphones, laptops and other techy devices, which also concerns on how the students manage their
time and focus. When something hinders students' efforts to do a task that is truly important, they
become distracted. This is what happens when technology is used in the classroom. The students'
attention is divided between two tasks what the teacher is trying to teach and what the student is trying
to do on the digital device. The result is that fewer items regarding those two tasks will be able to be
recalled or retained.

On a final note, both teachers and students need to adapt their methods. The fact that
smartphones and other technologies are here to stay indefinitely, teachers were required to make
necessary adjustments. They must also be aware that the most common excuse for using their gadgets
in class boredom. Research shows off-task technology use is less prevalent in classrooms which offer
engagement and breaks from traditional lecturing. Especially if you are teaching a lot of complex
concepts in a short period of time, students who feel overwhelmed may need to tune out by using the
technology. Students must also understand that using their phones in class will hinder their overall
learning. They might still be able to pass examinations that are given right away, and they won't
remember as much knowledge when it comes to final exams if they keep on distracting themselves on
using smartphones while on class. Collaboration between the teacher, student, and subject matter is
essential in education. That much is certain. Collaboration entails flexibility, which results in both
individuals gaining some of what they want and some of what they don't. That's how I see things
working out with technology in the classroom: some people will be pleased, some people will be
unhappy, and most people will be somewhere in the middle.
