    Bolton Wanderers face Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup - the teams are
    tied at one all. It's almost half-time. Fabrice Muamba, a central midfielder
    for visitors Bolton, suddenly collapses. His heart has stopped. Staff from
    both teams rush onto the pitch. They assess Fabrice and start CPR.

    AN AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED) ARRIVES

    Medical staff and first aiders battle to save Muamba: they use the machine
    to deliver 15 shocks before he reaches the hospital. Astonishingly, after 78
    minutes, Fabrice's heart begins to beat normally.

    Early CPR and AED intervention gave him the chance to live.
