RONNA: Just like the earthquake that

has happened recently in the


Northwestern part of Luzon including
metro Manila, particularly in Tayum
Abra with a magnitude of 7.0, a lot of
residents got hurt or injured and has
left 4 people dead.
CALEX: After a natural disaster like an
earthquake about 15% of the population
experience a post-traumatic stress
disorder (PTSD). However even those
without a diagnosis of PTSD can suffer
from disorders of the affected sphere,
including anxiety, depression, and
alteration of emotion recognition.
EMMANUEL: Weight gain or loss-
People with depression may experience
appetite changes, which can cause
unintended weight loss or gain
Chronic pain- People with depression may
experience unexplained aches or pains,
including joint or muscle pain, breast
tenderness, and headaches.

Depression can reduce a person’s
motivation to make positive

has a big help in our daily lives).
Home windows were shattered, and establishment walls
were cracked. Many school buildings that will be used
when face-to-face classes resume next month, as well
as health facilities such as rural health units, which are
in charge of first-level response in the midst of the
COVID-19 pandemic, have been damaged because of
earthquake.
