Windows 11 Updates

Summary
Windows 10 has been upgraded to Windows 11. With the upgrade, there are some changes
and new features. This document will cover the main new features.

Streamlined User Interface

A cleaner, less “busy” layout allows users to customize their view and simplify their
desktop/taskbar.
Note: While Windows 11 allows the taskbar to be centered on the screen, this does not work
with all Children’s applications. Leave the taskbar on the left side of the screen for optimal
performance.

Virtual Desktops
Users can create multiple workspaces to customize their working experience. Hover over the
two gray squares on the bottom left hand corner of the screen to create different desktops.
You can organize desktops by project, purpose, etc. Right clicking on the desktop name will
allow you to rename and customize.

Widgets
Users can now add widgets to their desktop to show calendar, weather, news and more!
Select the Widgets button on the lefthand side of the taskbar (blue and white rectangle).
From here you can add, remove, and customize widgets.

Redesigned Explorer App and Settings Menu

Find and manage files, downloads and settings much easier!

Snap Layouts
Snap Layouts allows you choose from a selection of different window layouts, easily
populating them with apps of your choice! Drag a window to the top center of your screen
and the layouts will appear. Drop the window into the layout of your choice and populate the
others.
