B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City DAILY INTELLIGENCE BRIEF (0800H -1700H 02 August 2011) A. INTERNAL SECURITY: 1. At about 11:20 oclock in the morning of August 1, 2011, one (1) section of 3SRC composed of fifteen (15) personnel led by 1LT GROMEL T AUMAN encountered more or less forty (40) CTs at Sitio Ani-a, Brgy Pantao, Calatrava, Negros Occidental (51P WM487811). The firefight lasted for about thirty (30) minutes, then the enemy withdrew towards North East direction. No casualties was reported on the government side, while undetermined number on the enemy side. Hot pursuit operations are being conducted by elements of Philippine Army against the fleeing rebels. Action Taken: Information was relayed to all line units in closed coordination with AFP counterpart particularly in the Northern Negros. Furthermore, they were directed to conduct checkpoint along possible exit points to intercept fleeing CTs and intensify intelligence monitoring to all hospitals, infirmaries and clinics to possibly apprehend wounded members of the enemy. Comment: CTs probably conducting surveillance in the area where they encountered the elements of the PA troops. 2. At about 6:00 oclock in the morning of August 1, 2011, one Ronald Aton y Palangat Aka Bunso, 25 years old, single and a resident of Sitio Bayombong, Brgy. Tabunac, Toboso, former member of Squad I, TMX platoon of NNF, LG-3 KR-Negros operating in the area of Escalante-Calatrava, voluntarily surrendered to the elements of Toboso PNP led by PO3 Nonito Tabotabo thru Hon Mario Muos, Brgy. Chairman of San Isidro, Toboso, Neg. Occ. Initial interrogation revealed that subject was recruited by certain Arlene Tapang Aka Toto Andy and Eliseo Gabiel Aka Remjo who were both wounded in an encounter last August 5, 2009 and was trained at Sitio Dougma, Brgy. Pantao, Calatrava, Neg. Occ. for two months by Aka Era and Aka Caloy as AIs. Action taken: Concerned unit is directed to conduct tactical interrogation and bioprofile of the subject and submit to this office, as soon as obtained.

Parreo and Nonilo Baylon all of Bacolod City are reportedly involved in the series of robbery hold-ups in Paglaum Village, Brgy Mansilingan, Bacolod City. Action Taken: Intelligence operatives of concerned unit were tasked to validate the said information for appropriate police actions. Comment: The group could be a newly identified crime group engaged in illegal drug trade in Bacolod City. D. FOREIGN DEVELOPMENT - Negative for the period.
