BIO: Lynn Fenske Lynn grew up in a rural farm town in Southern Indiana, where her parents had a great connection to the earth and the 5 elements. They raised livestock on fresh green pastures, grew vegetables organically, ate fresh home cooked meals and maintained healthful lifestyle practices. As she completed high school and moved on to college, she left the farm life behind and became a nurse in a metropolitan area. Although difficult to make this transition, she learned many valuable lessons. She quickly noticed the convenience of fast and processed foods, lack of exercise and awareness of the earth that maintains us. At the same time, the very patients she cared for demonstrated increased stress, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, cancer, etc. She often found herself wondering about this convenient lifestyle and its ramifications. Her studies of western medicine of Ayurvedic medicine and immersion in India, have helped her to get in touch with her roots. Ayurveda uses fresh wholesome foods, herbs and spices to enhance health and promote well-being. She found this ancient medicine to be closely related to her upbringing. Today, she can be found practicing Ayurveda and yoga in her own daily routines and through consultation with individuals and groups. Lynn can be reached at lynnfenske@gmail.com or by phone at 505-307-9563. Darlene Hess PhD, AHN-BC, PMHNP-BC, ACC Brown Mountain Visions
