Journal: this chapter tells about miller who told the king, that she had a beautiful daughter, smart and
could turn straw into gold, even though can’t straw into gold before late at night, if night had come and
the princess had not changed it then the princess's life would be lost. It didn't take long for the princess
to turn the straw into gold with the help of a mannequin. The greedy king moved the princess into a
large room and a lot of straw had to be turned into gold.

Journal : This chapter tells about a beautiful girl with her father and several sisters who were one rich
and now poor. Even though she is poor, this beautiful gir lis still cheerfull and enjoys life, not like her
sister who demans her father to get rich again. She is the the youngest child. Than his sisters but his
thinking is more mature and wise

Opinion : This story one of my favourites. The characters in this story are very cool and the story line is
also good

Journal : The title of this chapter tells about “why is the sea salty? Hundreds of years ago there was a
king who had a very unusual stone mill. It looked like any other stone hand mill but had a special power.
All you have to do is say what you want and change it and it will show what it asks for. If gold is
demanded, gold will come out. If rice is requested, rice will come out. Whatever is requested, a small
hand factory will produce it. He was full of pride and confidence as he walked back to the wall. But
once outside the palace, he was overcome with fear of being found out. His heart skipped a beat every
time he met someone on the street. He decided to steal the boat and went to his hometown to hide
because he knew that once the theft was discovered, everyone in the city and on the street would be
questioned.

Journal : This story tells about Felicia and the Pink Pot Once upon a time there was a poor laborer who
felt that he would not live much longer, wanting to divide his wealth between his son and daughter,
whom he loved dearly. So he called them to him, and said: "Your mother brought me as her dowry two
benches and a bed of straw; besides, I have a hen, a pink pot, and a silver ring, which was given to me by
a noblewoman who had stay in my poor hut When he left he said to me: "Be careful with my gifts, good
man; make sure you don't lose the ring or forget to water the pink. As for your daughter, I promise that
she will be more beautiful than anyone you have ever seen in your life; call her Felicia, and when she
grows up, give her a ring and a young pot to comfort her for her poverty.' Take them both, my dear
child," he added, "and your brother shall have everything." The two children seemed content, and when
their father died they wept for him, and divided the property as he had told them.

Journal : This story tells about The Gold Spinner Once upon a time, in a great forest, there lived an old
woman and three girls. The three of them were beautiful, but the youngest was the prettiest. Their hut
was quite hidden by trees, and nothing saw their beauty except the sun by day, and the moon by night,
and the eyes of the stars. The old woman made the girls toil, from morning to night, spinning the golden
flax into thread, and when one stick was empty, another was given to them, so that they did not rest.
The thread had to be smooth and even, and when finished it was locked in a secret room by the old
woman, who made two or three trips each summer. Before he left, he gave work for each day of his
absence, and always came back at night, so the girls never saw what he was carrying,
