Pre-Covid, During Covid and Post-Covid
Effect on investor strategy

ABSTRACT
This paper addresses a very uncertain problem, seen by India during Covid-19. It was the
period of great uncertainty we had gone through. It is rightly said that it is the Hardest and
most stressful situation for an investor when the market sink/dip/fall. During Covid-19
different mentality of investor occurs when feeling of fear and panic become widespread and
there is bloodbath in the stock market. Was that period being really tough for the investor and
financial market?  This paper focuses on trading of investor during pre-covid, during covid,
post-Covid how investor manages their risk in these different scenario and how drastic
change occurs during these times.
And also, the volumes traded in these different scenarios under Nifty 50.
In this paper we will also see the emerging growth in opening of new accounts by investor
during the crises when many of the people loses their job and in what manner that affect the
Indian market.
During crises there are three types of investors one who had considered that declines are the
best opportunity which they will miss if they won’t buy securities at a low price. Second who
want to sell their aggressively and being scared of declining prices of the shares in their
portfolio. And third is the one who are doing nothing they only thing about the previous
crises and how market revamp again from those crises. They are just waiting and analyzing
for the right opportunity to maximize their profit.
Will also addresses that how Indian market are losing dependency on foreign investor and
how Indian investors are actively investing in share market in different scenario like ( Pre-
covid, During covid, Post-covid )
The data for this paper will be taken from the official websites of NSE & BSE and paper is
totally based on the secondary data.
