Dear Staff,
Once again, GlobalM is pleased to be
participating in Boston's Annual Bike to
Work Day on May 11. We encourage
employees from every department to
join us. The department with the most
participants will get a free lunch. This
year there's no excuse for those who
don't have a bike - Boston Bike Share
is providing them at a reduced rate.
There are many benefits to taking part:

environment

I have an 'W()「
annual membership with Boston
Bike Share and mostly use it to go to work.
The comfortable, new bikes have three
speeds which is enough for getting around
the city.
It's very convenient for me to grab a bike
near my apadment and ride the 20 minutes to
work, and then leave it at one of the stations near my office.
So many streets have bike lanes now, *t"hat it's faster than
waiting for the subway. lt's also cheaper because I save
money on gas and parking for my car, and it cuts down on
pollution. Plus, I get exercise without having to go to a gym!
The only downside is that during rush hour it's sometimes
difficult to find a bike in my neighborhood and the stations
downtown tend to fill up so you can't park your bike.
It's also great for tourists and a great way to see the historic
Freedom Trail with a stop at one of the restaurants at Quincy
Market. lt only costs $7 per day, but thetls for rides of up
to 30 minutes each. So, if you rni'ant to take a bike for more
than that, it's probably cheaper to go to a bike rental shop.
