The bar graph demonstrates that 99%, or 122 out of 123, of Brgy. Balacdas
responded that 99% of the population is aware of the assembly area's availability. 119 out
of 123 residents, or 97%, said they had access to the assembly area, while 3% said they did
not. 120 out of the 123 respondents, or 98%, said the assembly area was functional, while
only 2% stated that it was not functional.
Normal Findings:
Assembly areas should be used in the case of several different emergency types.
The purpose of having an assembly area in a community is to make it easier to account for
employees, staff, and barangay officials. Residents in Barangay Balacdas should be aware
of the existence of this facility to fully access and utilize its functions.
Recommendation:
An assembly area is any place where people can gather for social, recreational,
educational, civic, or amusement purposes. In Barangay Balacdas, the covered court is
where residents and barangay officials gather to discuss and exchange ideas for developing
or improving their gated community. Every community needs this area, so it should be
considered when creating a plan for local emergency response. Because the barangay
official utilizes this facility for residents to use, this is a major benefit.

Actual Findings:
The data shows how aware Barangay Balacdas residents are of the community
herbal garden, with 84%, or 107 out of 123 respondents, believing that it is available to the
public and 16% stating that it is not available. The garden is accessible to 84% of the
population, while 16% of people said it was not. Therefore, about 17% of people cannot use
the herbal garden, while 83% of them responded that the community herbal garden is
usable.
Normal Finding:
The results indicate that the community herbal garden seeks to promote knowledge
about traditional uses for herbal and medicinal plants as well as their conservation. An
herbal garden can be a backyard where these plants are planted as a source of immediate
aide for injuries, burns, bruises, and other small injuries.
Recommendations:
The garden promotes local community life by offering a secure setting for engaging in
physical activity and social interaction. An herbal garden provides value to community
gardens in addition to provide immediate medical care, assisting in establishment of easily
accessible and reasonably priced medical care for all. If Barangay Balacdas owns any
therapeutic medicinal plants, they can sell them to their neighbors as a secondary source of
income and raise money for the plants’ further development.

government unit (LGU) that is manage by the DOH is referred to as a Botika ng Barangay. It
has a trained operator and a supervising pharmacist. Increasing Balacdas residents' access
to inexpensive medications is part of a government-initiated campaign to reduce poverty.

The bar graphs show that 80% or 103 out of 123 respondents of Barangay Balacdas
stated that they are aware of the significance of material recovery facilities and 20% are not.
80% of those surveyed said they had access to the material recovery facilities, while 20%
said they did not. The material recovery facilities was used by 83% of respondents and 17%
responded that it was not being used.
Normal Findings:
According to Republic Act 9003 mandates the construction of Materials Recovery
Facilities (MRFs), which serve as facilities for the collecting and sorting of municipal solid
wastes prior to their disposal in landfills. Every barangay must have a Material Recovery
Facility (MRF) to collect recyclable items from municipal solid trash, according to the
National Solid Waste Management Commission.
Recommendation:
MRFs are necessary in Barangay Balacdas because they help lower the waste
stream, the need for raw materials, and the pollution brought on by the production of new
goods. They will be able to make money by recycling waste; in addition, it will help them
segregate the market recycled goods. By segregating waste, businesses may recycle more
materials and keep them out of landfills. This in turn, reduces the overall impact on the
environment.

The data demonstrates how knowledgeable the locals about the public Wi-Fi and
internet connection in Barangay Balacdas. It indicates that 74%, or 97 out of 123
respondents, had access to WiFi, while 26% were unable to connect. The community
internet is constantly available to 72% of the respondents, and 28% said that it is not
available. While 27% residents claim that they can use the community internet, 73%
responded that it is not usable.
Normal Findings:
Residents of Barangay Balacdas may easily access the information they need to
keep safe with high-speed Internet service. Local governments and law enforcement may
communicate information swiftly through the Internet to keep all citizens safe and informed.
An online community gains a lot of value through networking. In this environment, people
can interact with others who have similar interests to their own and spread knowledge. Peer-
to-peer communication of this kind promotes creativity and innovation.
Recommendation:
The residents Barangay Balacdas benefits greatly from having a WiFi connection.
Anyone can speak with anyone in the world, access nearly any information, and accomplish
a lot more with the help of the Internet. The internet is primarily used for daily activities,
communication, and entertainment. An internet connection is required for all forms of idea
and information sharing and news exchange. People in Barangay Balacdas have access to
a wide range of social platforms on the internet where they can express their thoughts and
use them. The best way to raise awareness of medical conditions among the public is
through social media, especially considering how far Barangay Balacdas is from the town of
Borongan. People who urgently want medical attention or examinations can use this
information to their advantage. Various news outlets and publications now have online
platforms due to the internet. The residents of Barangay Balacdas can monitor weather
updates and be prepared for any calamities that may occur.

Actual Findings:
Figure 48 indicates the awareness of the residents of Barangay Balacdas of their
health care facilities. The figure shows 87% or 110 out of 123 residents is aware that there is
a Barangay Health Center,8% stated that they have a Rural Health Unit, another 4% is
aware that they have a hospital. It is also shown above that there is 1% resident is not aware
of the health facilities in their barangay.
Normal Findings:
Health facilities play a very significant role in a barangay balacdas for the mitigation
of disasters because of their function in treating the injured and handling outbreaks of
disease. The field of public health aims to protect and improve health in addressing the
structures and system.

Actual Findings:
Figure 48.1 indicates the awareness of the residents of Barangay Balacdas of their
health care facilities. The figure shows 89% or 112 out of 123 residents is having an access
of Barangay Health Center, 11% stated that they have not an access. It is also shown above
that 87% respondents were able to use the Health Care Facility and 13% respondents stated
that they were unable to use it.
Normal Findings:
Having an awareness within the barangay provide a social health care protection and
equal access to quality health care facilities, has a significant effect on individual and public
health, economic growth, and development.
Recommendation:
Health care facilities are one of the fundamental sectors of Barangay Balacdas and
the economy. To maintain patient comfort and staff readiness, healthcare facilities and
equipment must be easily accessible and properly functional. Individual and societal health,
as well as economic growth and development, are significantly improved by social health
protection and equal access to high-quality healthcare. A strong healthcare system is
essential to reducing the stress on families and promoting national development.

Actual Findings:
The figure shows the awareness of recreational facilities in Barangay Balacdas. The
figures show that 73%, or 96 out of 123 respondents, stated that sports facilities are
available. While 14% stated that the community library is available, 7% stated that the teen
center is also available, and 6% responded that the internet hub is available in Barangay
Balacdas.
Normal Findings:
According to studies by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, creating,
improving, and promoting places to be physically active can improve individual and
community health and result in a 25 percent increase of residents who exercise at least
three times per week. Awareness of recreational resources encourages social responsibility
and serves as a meeting place for people of all ages, significantly enhancing the standard of
living in barangay Balacdas. Additionally, they foster community pride, bring people together,
and foster a connection with nature.
Recommendation:
Having a recreational facility in Barangay Balacdas provide a gathering space for
social groups as well as for individuals of all age groups, effectively improving the quality of
life in the community. Moreover, they foster community pride, unite people, and promote a
connection to nature. Recreational activities, particularly activities that are done outside,
improve one's health in a number of ways, including by helping one maintain lower body fat
percentages, lowering blood and cholesterol levels, and boosting muscular strength,
flexibility, and endurance as well as improving body composition and cardiovascular
endurance. Overall physical health depends on mental wellness. Recreational activities aid
in stress management. It gives one a chance to take care of oneself, promotes equilibrium,
and boosts self-esteem, all of which can directly lower anxiety and depression.

Actual Findings:
The chart displays the residents of Barangay Balacdas’ awareness of the
recreational facility, showing that 82% or 105 out of 123 of the residents has access to the
facility while the remaining 18% do not. However, the data also shows that 83% of the
population can use the facility, while 17% are unable to do so.
Normal Findings:
Access to exercise and leisure facilities. It has been argued that good access to
exercise and recreational facilities may promote overall physical activity. Easy and
convenient access to these facilities may help people to engage more frequently in leisure-
time sports, exercise, and recreational activities, and may also promote utilitarian walking or
cycling to and from these facilities.
Recommendation:
Having an accessible and functional recreational facility in Barangay Balacdas help in
overall development of a residents physically, mentally, and emotionally. Enhances peer
relationships and interpersonal skills. Recreational pursuits can allow the potential to identify
skills outside of skills and/or that may later be useful in one's job and in life. To live a healthy
and better life, it is beneficial to not only acquire knowledge but also apply it responsibly. It
imparts the ability to reason critically and lead a more realistic lifestyle. Additionally, it
improves one's overall development, which contributes to success in all activities.
