Living organism in the environment

Biodiversity is the variety and variability of all life forms on Earth
Observing living organisms
All living organism look different and range in sizes but all living
organisms share the same characteristics theses are:
 Movement (all living things move for a verity of reason to
get from place to place to find food shelter mate to
escape danger etc.
 Respiration (all living things respire respiration is the
release of energy whereas breathing is the inhaling and
exhaling)
 Sensitivity (all living organisms are sensitive noticing
change and reacting to this change)
 Growth (all living things grow baby animals into adults
seed into plants)
 Reproduction (all living things reproduce animals have
baby and plants grow new seeds)
 Excretion (all living thing give off waste)
 Nutrition 9 all living things need nutrients food is used to
provide energy and plant can make their own)

Groping and identifying living organisms

When observing living organisms, you focus of physical
features
Naming organisms
When naming organisms, we used a binomial system fist part of
Latin name is genus and the second is part species of tree

Levels of classification
 Kingdoms (grouping into kingdoms are based on presence on nucleus
(unicellular or multicellular), how organisms get their food. there are five
different kingdoms)
 Phylum (invertebrates and vertebrates)
 Class (lasses of invertebrates protozoa nematodes, annelids, molluscs,
arthropods, cnidarians, echinoderms,  sponges and inscet and
classes of vertebrates fish, reptiles, mammals, birds, amphibians )
 Family
 Genus (animals in the same genus are very closely related our genus are
called humo)
 Species
The different kingdoms

 Monera
