Literature review

Technology in business is any knowledge or processes that contributes in


the production of products and services within the organization. The
knowledge used in practical ways in industry (Oxford 2005). Innovation is
any upgrade on a business process or a business strategy. Innovation
also can be defined as anything new whether it was a plan, equipment
or anything that is useful. There are many innovation that are not
directly related to technology such as the introduction of new marketing
methods. But recently, many studies are interested on the impact of
technological innovation on organizations performance.There is main
and interactive effect of strategic planning and marketing capability on
organizational performance. This corroborates the assertion that there is
need for technological innovation capabilities (Charles,2014).
There are many other variables that contributes together with the
technological innovation or affect the work of the technological
innovation that eventually affect on the performance in the
organization. For example, there is a positive relationship between
human resource management and organization performance. (Li, Zhao
and Liu,2005). HRM can use technological innovation on many aspects
inside the organization to increase the opportunities for the employees
inside the organization . As well as,to give the employees the best
training using the best and most suitable technologies in the
organization. There are many other studies that had interest in different
variables that work together with technological innovation to improve
organization performance such as, sustainability, the organization
culture, strategic planning capabilities, marketing planning capabilities
and social media technologies.The firm’s technological knowledge
competencies are positively related to proficient technological
development of new products and processes.(Garcia-Morales,Martín-
Rojas, Esmeralda and López,2017). The chosen studies took place in
different areas in the continent of Asia and Africa. These countries such
as Kenya and Nigeria are not considered an interesting area of research
compared to western countries. Most research focuses on cases in
western countries. ( Li, Zhao and Liu,2005).
