.__Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena penulis menemukan dua orang
siswa tunagrahita di SLB Luak Nan Bungsu Kota Payakumbuh yang memiliki
Prestasi di bidang bocce sampai ke tingkat nasional. Guru berupaya melatih siswa
Ketika memperlihatkan kemampuan siswa tesebut pada bidang bocce. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) peran guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi
bocce, (2) kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi bocce, dan
(G) upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi bocce...
Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informan dalam
enelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, kesiswaan, dan guru dan orang tua.
Instrument penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik
analisa data yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif mile dan Huberman. .
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) peran guru dalam meningkatkan
Prestasi bocce anak tunagrahita yaitu mendidik, mengajar, mediator, fasilitator,
model dan teladan, motivator, membimbing dan evaluator. (2) kendala yang
dihadapi oleh guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi bocce yaitu faktor internal anak
yang mudah emosional anak, kurangnya kesabaran anak, kurang disiplin dalam
latihan, kurang konsentrasi dan keterbatasan fisik. (3) upaya yang dilakukan oleh
guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi bocce anak tunagrahita yaitu tidak memaksa
‘untuk berlatih, memperhatikan suasana emosi, bersabar dengan sikep anak dan
melengkapi sarana dan prasaranan yang dibutubkan,

The background of this research is because the authors found two mentally
retarded students at SLB Luak Nan Bungsu Payakumbuh City who have
achievements in the field of bocce to the national level. The teacher tries to
students when they show their abilities in the bocce field. This study aims to
describe: (1) the teacher's role in improving bocce achievement, (2) the obstacles
faced by teachers in improving bocce achievement, and (3) the efforts made by
teachers in improving bocce achievement.
This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, Informan
study were principals, student representatives, and teachers and parents. The
instruments of this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The
data analysis technique used is qualitative mile and Huberman
The results showed that: (1) the teacher's role in improving the
performance of mentally retarded children was educating, teaching, mediator,
facilitator, model and role model, motivator, guiding and evaluator. (2) the
obstacles faced by teachers in improving bocce's achievement are internal factors
of children who are easily emotional, children’s lack of patience, lack of discipline
in practice, lack of concentration and physical limitations. (3) the efforts made by
teachers in improving the performance of mentally retarded children are not
forcing them to practice, paying attention to the emotional atmosphere, being
patient with children’s attitudes and completing the required facilities and
infrastructure,
