Good afternoon,I will talk to you about the relationship that exists between us, young people, and the internet, everything I will say here was said by a psychologist, Natasha Almeida.
The appearance of the internet, social networks and applications
has changed the way we communicate, making it more practical, fast and efficient. Making it possible for us to stay in contact with a simple click. These means of communication have positive aspects, however, they also have negative consequences if they are used in an uncontrolled or abusive way, could lead to -social isolation -sedentary lifestyle, -decrease in school performance, -difficulties in establishing relationships
We young people were born into this generation of facebook,
whatsapp, etc., and we cannot imagine our life without these means of communication. In fact, we can observe a quick change of mood in a young person when the internet fails at home, when he cannot access wifi in a public place or when he runs out of mobile data. Some authors have introduced terms such as “Facebook depression”, which is feeling deep sadness or anguish, feeling disconnected from the world, they also introduced us to the term “phantom touch” wich is described as the feeling of hearing your phone ringing or vibrating when it's not really there. We live in the Age of Technology, the search for social networks and faster and more modern ways of communicating with friends.
To conclude Social networks can and should be used as a
communication tool, but there is something that the internet cannot provide, interaction and the social environment,
