Juliet's cousin, Tybalt, challenges
Romeo to a duel and Romeo kills him. As punishment, Romeo is banished from Verona. Meanwhile, Juliet's father arranges for her to marry another man, Paris, in an attempt to end the feud between the families. Desperate to avoid the marriage, Juliet seeks the help of Friar Laurence, who devises a plan to reunite her with Romeo.
However, the plan goes awry, and both
Romeo and Juliet end up dead. Romeo mistakenly believes that Juliet has died and takes his own life. When Juliet awakens and finds Romeo dead, she also takes her own life.
