Buttermilk Pancakes

Ingredients:
1 ¼ cup flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt (pinch)
1 egg, beaten
1 ¼ cups buttermilk
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
¼ cup sugar
Directions:
1) In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
2) In a small mixing bowl, combine beaten egg and buttermilk. Whisk together.
3) Add egg mixture to flour mixture stirring until smooth.
4) Add the butter and sugar, stirring until just combined.
5) Place large skillet on medium low heat and spray or coat with butter.
6) Using a ¼ cup, drop batter onto pan. Cook until bubbles begin to form on surface and
then flip. Brown the other side.
7) Repeat steps with remaining batter.
8) Serve with syrup and sausage or bacon.
Breakfast Sausage
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons sage
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon marjoram
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
Pinch crushed red pepper
Pinch ground cloves
2 lbs ground pork

Directions:
1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the sage, salt, black pepper, marjoram, brown sugar, red
pepper, and cloves. Mix well.
2. Place the pork in a large bowl and add the spices to it. Combine and form into small
patties.
3. Saute patties in a large skillet over medium high heat for 5 minutes per side or internal
temperature reaches 160 degrees F.

How to Cook Bacon in the Oven

Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2) Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lay bacon pieces out in a single layer.
3) Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on how crispy you like it!
