• The WIFEX System uses a standard collet body with interchangeable

heads.

• The system fits directly into the standard collet sleeve and requires no
modification to the machine!

• The interchangeable head can be supplied as a soft blank that can be

machined by the user if required.

• The heads can also be designed and finished to suit customer’s specific
internal clamping applications.

Overgripping Collet

Over gripping collets are specially designed pick up collets that open sufficiently to grip
a component behind a shoulder. The collets are designed for each application, and the
amount that that the collet can open is limited by the stroke of the collet clamping mecha-
nism.

The general rule is that the increase in diameter is less than or equal to the stroke length.
Depending on the machine, it is sometimes possible to modify the stroke length to allow
the collet to open further.

These collets do not require a special collet nose cap.

In-House Collet Re-Grinding Service

At our facility in Baldock we have internal grinders set up to provide a collet

re-grinding service.

This allows us to act quickly to our customers' needs for intermediate bore
sizes so frquently required fo sub-spindle component pick up applications.

This Service is available from Ø5mm upwards on the following collet types
