1. What causes winds and ocean currents that affect climate?
The causes of winds and ocean currents that affect climate are ocean and wind currents
are created by a process called as convection, which also creates air pressure. The movement
of water and air is influenced by both convection and pressure. The basic climate of the
region is impacted by the movement of air and water currents from one place to another.
Moreover, the circulation of thermohaline the flow of water in the seas in response to
variations in salinity and temperature (haline). Warm, less salty water floats on the surface
because it is less dense than cold, more salty water. Thus, a large-scale convection cell
driven by the thermohaline circulation occurs when warm water rises at the equator, flows
north, cools and sinks, and then flows south again back towards the equator. The circulation
along the Atlantic meridian is driven by the resultant convection cell.
2. How do environmental factors affect life in the major biomes?
An ecosystem's abiotic, or nonliving, elements, including sunshine, temperature, water,
soil, and wind, have an impact on its biomes. These abiotic characteristics set the major biomes
of the planet apart. For instance, the taiga, or boreal, forest can be found in the chilly north,
where sunlight only warms the area during the brief summer months. The scorching, dry desert
may be found at low latitudes, close to the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, where it gets
continuous direct sunlight.
3. How do human activities affect the biosphere?
On the biosphere, human actions have a significant influence. Our actions cause climate
change, air and water pollution, habitat destruction, and the loss of many species. Each of these
actions has repercussions that have the potential to change entire ecosystems.
4. What is biodiversity and how can we sustain it?
The variety of plant and animal species in a region is known as its biodiversity. By
preserving natural environments, using resources wisely, and lowering pollution, we can
maintain biodiversity.
5. In your personal capacity, how can you help protect our environment?
By reducing, reusing, and recycling waste, composting, using natural cleaning products,
using less energy, driving less, and planting gardens and trees, I can do my part to safeguard the
environment.

6. Make a brochure/flyers/infomercial/compose a song/write a poem on how to conserve

biodiversity in your locality.(choose only one)
(FLYERS)
7. Visualize the future of the planet earth if we continue disrupting the biosphere.
