The detailed information I wanted to ask about option of Proxy/ way out for NRIs voting under
representation of people’s Act/ election related rights.

Questions of option of proxy/alternative option for voting of NRIs under any Act which deals with
voting.

1) Does the ministry have thought that without loading travel expenses on NRIs how can they
vote.
2) Steps taken in relation to see that is there any option of proxy or any way out to save
expenses and fulfilling the right to vote for NRIs.
3) If answer is no then any proposal for future action/plan of action will take or not or if the
answer is yes then information, documentation, official data as to this.

(ii) The period for which information asked for: 2000 TO 2023

(iii) Other details: Data, documents & information in relation to any action or plan of action for
