Hello Player,
Welcome to MLBB LATAM Super League NORTH - Season 1 (MLSL-N S1). This
leagues cover countries : Ecuador, El Salvador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala,
Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico and Central America

This official rules document aims to describe the entire regulation regarding the
tournament MLSL-N S1.

The following information will describe the structure and functioning of the tournament,
as well as the set of rules that must be followed by the teams and their respective
players who register for the tournament.
Read carefully , because non-compliance with the rules in this document may result in
punishment and / or disqualification of the team and their respective players from the
present and future tournaments, championships and / or leagues.
Moonton and its designated members are responsible for operationalizing this
tournament. Moonton, as the publisher responsible for the game Mobile Legends: Bang
Bang , and its respective affiliates, have full authority and reserve the right to cancel,
suspend or modify the rules and descriptions contained in this document, in addition to
making final decisions, including regarding items that were not previously specified or
outlined in this regulation in order to preserve fair play and sportsmanship to its
exclusive criteria.

We wish you all an excellent competition and we commit to doing our best to make this a
fair, exciting and legendary experience for all participants.

SUMMARY

1. INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW


MLSL-N S1 is officially sponsored by Moonton(hereafter called “Organizer”),
categorizing a competition of an electronic game conducted through the title Mobile
Legends: Bang Bang .
By registering for the tournament, each participant and team representative confirms
that they have read, understood and accepted all the rules and conditions set forth in
this document.

2. THE LEAGUE
2.1. Definition of Tournament Terms
2.1.1. Check-in - It is the confirmation process that a team performs to confirm and
validate their participation after registering in a tournament / event / championship.

2.1.2. Game - An instance of the competition on the map designated by MLSL-N S1 ,


which is played until a winning team is determined by one of the following methods,
whichever occurs first:
• Conclusion of the Final Objective (destruction of the opposing "Crystal")
• Team surrender
• Disqualification of the team
• Official announcement of victory
2.1.3. Team Surrender - Any team that decides to abandon a Game prior to
Final Goal Completion will automatically award the Game point in question to
the opposing team.

2.1.4. Match - A set of Games that is played until a team wins the majority of the total
Games (for example, winning two Games in three, also known as "BO3"; winning three
Games in five, also known as "BO5"). The winning team will receive a score in the format
or advance to the next round.
2.1.5. BO1 | BO2 | BO3 | BO5 | BO7 - Determination of the maximum amount of Games
that categorizes a match, such as the minimum amount of wins per Game to define the
winning team of the Match;
• BO1 - Best-of-One - Match with just one Game. The winner will be the team that
wins the only Game.
• BO2 - Best-of-Two - Match with just two Games. If each team wins one game,
each team receives an AGG point.
• BO3 - Best-of-Three - Match with up to three Games. The winner will be the team
that wins two Games.
• BO5 - Best-of-Five - Match with up to five Games. The winner will be the team
that wins three Games.
• BO7 - Best-of-Seven - Match with up to seven Games. The winner will be the team
that wins five games.
2.1.6. Round - Group of matches (Matches or Games, depending on the Stage) that
happen simultaneously, where teams face each other two by two, and there will always
be a losing team and a winning team.
2.1.7. Simple Elimination Bracket - Format in which teams will be paired according
to the specific criteria of each Phase, so that the winning team advances to the next
round and the losing team is eliminated from the League.
2.1.8. Double Elimination Bracket - Format in which the teams will be paired according
to the specific criteria of each Phase, so that the winning team advances to the next
round through the Upper Bracket and the losing team, if this is their first defeat, is
relocated to the Lower Bracket. Once in the Lower Bracket, the team will have a second
chance to advance to the next round, but a defeat in this bracket implies that the losing
team will be eliminated from the League.

2.1.9. Calendar
Open Qualifiers:
● February: 13,14,15,16

Media Day :

● February: 25-26 (It is mandatory to attend)

Regular Season:

● March: 4, 11, 18, 25


● April: 1, 8, 15

Playoffs

● April: 28, 29, 30


● May: 5, 6, 7

2.1.10. Open Qualifiers

Games will be BO1 up to quarter finals (top 8 teams). When in this stage, the format will
change to Single Round Robin BO2 where the top 5 teams (the ones with the higher
scores) will go to the Regular Season
This is how they will play:
- Day 1: 13/02 - Rounds 1 and 2 will be played
- Day 2: 14/02 - Rounds 3 and 4 will be played
- Day 3: 15/01 - Round Robin (rounds 1, 2, 3, 4)
- Day 4: 16/01 - Round Robin (rounds 5, 6 , 7)
Round Robin’s score rule:
2:0 - 2 POINTS
1:1 - 1 POINTS
0:2 - 0 POINTS
Tiebreaker:
In case of ties we’ll select the team with more matches won, if there’s still ties will define
based on matches’ scores from the previous Round Robin
2.1.11. Season - Each season will consist of two main phases:
• Regular Season
• Playoffs

2.2. Breakdown of the MLSL-N S1 Format


2.2.1. First Stage, Regular Season - The 8 teams (3 invited and 5 open qualifer) face off
in a “Free-for-All” format (Single Round Robin), where each team will face their
opponents 1 time, in BO2(best-of-two) matches. In total, each team will have 8
matches. The 6 best scoring teams will classify for the next stage;

2:0 - 2 POINTS

1:1 - 1 POINTS

0:2 - 0 POINTS

Tiebreakers - Teams that are tied in the overall standings will have the following
tiebreakers applied, in order of importance:

• Ranking by points based on BO2


• Agg Points - +1 point will be given for each game victory and -1 point for each
defeat. The final balance will tell the winner of the tiebreaker.
• If the Ranking by points and Agg Points are not sufficient to determine a tiebreaker
winner, the head-to-head record between the teams will be considered.
• If none of the above circumstances are able to resolve the tiebreaker, an BO1
match will be required to determine the winner.
• In exceptional cases or other unforeseeable circumstances, Moonton will make
the final decision.
2.2.2 Second Stage, Playoffs - The 6 (six) best ranked teams of the First Stage face
each other in the format of Double Elimination Brackets, with only one bracket being set
up for the 6.

• The two best ranked teams enter the upper bracket, in the quarterfinals.
• Third and Sixth Placed, Fourth and Fifth Placed face each other in a single
elimination BO3 (the loser is eliminated).
• Winners join the Upper bracket. The remaining 4 teams face each other in double
elimination games.
• The grand final is decided in an BO7 (Best-of-Seven) match.

2.2.2.1. Identity and Account Check - Before the start of each game, the
organization may ask all team members for a facial biometrics check defined by the
organization to check game account ownership and documentation. Your refusal or
failure in the test will result in the immediate disqualification of the team.

2.3. General Rules


2.3.3.1. Restrictions - Team members registered for the tournament cannot be
employees of Moonton or any of its affiliates, whether these agencies, companies or
third parties, directly or indirectly related to the organization of the tournament, at any
point during the MLSL-N S1 (from the time of registration until receipt of the award).
"Affiliate" is defined as any person or other entity that owns or has control; is under the
ownership or control of; or is under common
ownership or control of another party related to the League organization. "Control"
means the power, by any means, to determine the policies or management of an entity,
whether through the power to elect, appoint or approve, directly or indirectly, the
directors, officers, managers or trustees of such entity or of any other way. Besides, any
team member shall not have contract or involve in other activities organized by Organizer
such as Live streaming, caster work, KOL , content generations etc., except a written
approval from Organizer is presented.
2.3.3.2. Documents or Miscellaneous Requests - Documentation or other
reasonable items may be required anytime throughout MLSL-N S1, only by members
of the tournament organization. If the documentation is not completed or presented
in accordance with the standards defined by MLSL-N S1, the team will be subject to
penalties. Penalties may be imposed if ordered items are not received and
completed within the required time frame.
2.3.3.3. Equipment - All teams and/or players are responsible for having all
necessary equipment and connections to play the tournament. In case that Organizer
assigns equipment such as cellphone, headset or other item specified by Organizer, all
teams shall follow the instruction without any exception.
2.3.3.4. Communication - The main means of communication and support for the
tournament is the official server on Discord and Whatsapp. All participants must log into
the official server to be aware of announcements, rule changes and to communicate with
administrators and other participants. Notifications will be made exclusively on this
server on Discord and by email registered at the time of registration. It is the
responsibility of each team representative to ensure that they are aware of officially
published information. Any communication with the organization is confidential. All
emails and messages sent to the organization are considered official and confidential
and cannot be shared with third parties. Administrators have the right to ignore any
message that is sent by an unofficial means of communication. The customer service
team will be actively answering queries from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 22:00
GMT-3

2.3.4. Player Eligibility


2.3.4.1. Players Age - No Player will be considered eligible to participate in any
MLSL-N S1 competition before having lived full sixteen years as of the closing date for
entries for the tournament (09/03/2022). Between 16 and 18 years of age, the player will
be eligible only with parental consent. The player's age will be counted according to
their exact date of birth, not just their year of birth. The team must present the original
copy of the players' identity document or passport, issued in their country of birth, to
testify that the players have reached the required age to participate in the competition.
Any other certifications are invalid.

2.3.4.2. Personal Requirements - All players must meet the following requirements:
• Have a valid gaming account (in your name).
• Have a valid Discord account (in your name).
• Have a stable Internet connection and equipment (mobile) compatible with the game.
Players are solely responsible for their internet connection and equipment used during the
tournament online phase, so the tournament organization will not be held responsible for
problems reported by the player due to internet and equipment issues.
In the Playoffs Phase (Offline Event), except the equipment of MLSL-N S1 , no other
personal devices will be allowed in the tournament area. MLSL-N S1 Equipment includes,
but not limited to:
• Gaming Phone
• Headsets (Noise Cancelation Phones)/Earbuds and Microfones
• Table and Chair
• Backup Phone
• Camera
Within the Match Area, players are not allowed to bring any headphones, earbuds and/or
microphones that have not been provided by MLSL-N S1 without the approval of
MLSL-N S1 Officials. All player-owned or team-owned equipment must be submitted to
MLSL-N S1 Officials in advance for approval. Unapproved equipment or equipment that
is suspected by MLSL-N S1 Officials of providing an unfair competitive advantage will
not be permitted for use, and players will be required to use equipment that is provided
by MLSL-N S1 instead.

Within the match area and only during the draft pick, the coach is allowed to bring a
notebook paper or papers. After the draft pick is over, the coach should take all the items
listed above away. Players are not allowed to bring notebooks or papers to the
competition area.
2.3.5. Regional Residency Requirements
2.3.5.1. Teams Formation - One teams shoud include (5) five players of the starting
lineup, (2) two sub players and (1) one coach/manager, and only 1 Non-Latam player
can be on the roster. At least 3 players of corresponding team shall hold legal resident
of the country that the corresponding team represents. Likewise, any team, in order to
be qualified as representative of countries covered by MLSL-N S1 shall possesses at
least 3 players who own legal resident of such country( at least 6 months of actual living
in corresponding country). Moonton has the right for requesting any documents, proof,
verification etc. in order to guarantee qualification of any team.

2.3.5.2. Citizenship - A player is considered a “citizen” if he is a legal permanent


resident in the country and has documentation in accordance with current laws: DNI or
CPF or Cedula etc. Residence requires at least 6 months of living in corresponding
country
2.3.5.3. Single Citizenship -A player can declare himself a citizen of only one
region/country at a time, not being able to participate in other official competitions in
different regions at the same time.
2.3.5.4. Work Eligibility - Each player may be required to submit the following
documents as proof of identity when participating in any MLSL-N S1 competition:
• Legal proof of the right to reside in the country or region where the MLSL-N S1
competition is held (eg LATAM) in accordance with local laws.
• Permission to work in the country or region of the competition.
(e.g. LATAM): Players, Coach, Team Manager who are not citizens of the country or
region where the MLSL-N S1 competition is held need official documents that are
recognized by the local authorities to prove that they are authorized to play and operate
in the country during the season period (specific details are determined by local laws).

2.3.5.5 International Travelling - Each team that is not from the country of origin of the
MLSL- N S1 must have prepared:
• Documents required to clear their respective countries’ immigration check.
• Valid visa (if applicable).
• Yellow Fever Vaccine (if applicable).
• Vaccination Certificate.
Players are required to have triple dose vaccination, unless under
special circumstances (double dose vaccination) approved by Moonton.
• Negative COVID-19 Test (within 48 hours before departure).
• Teams and players must be available to travel from December 2023 - January
2024 for M4 World Championships.

2.4. Team Eligibility


2.4.1. Teams Formation - Each team must have, at least, Five Players in its “Starting
Formation” and from 1 (one) to 2 (two) substitutes, and one of these players must be
appointed as Team Captain. Team Manager and Coach are entirely administrative
positions, and cannot be occupied by any of the Players, whether they are from the
"Initial Formation" or substitutes. If at any time in the League any team is not within the
requirements, it will be subject to penalties.

2.4.2. Starters and Substitutes - The 5 players initially registered are considered the
starters and must, except in unusual cases, be the starting lineup for official matches. If
it is necessary to use the Substitutes for an official match, the change must be
communicated by 3:00 pm on the day of match. The substitute can also be used in
atypical cases during the games if approved. When the substitute takes over during a
match, there can be no further changes in those same games and the substitute cannot
return to substitute status.
2.4.3. Team Changes - During MLSL-N S1 , only 2 changes are allowed in the team.
2.4.3.1. It can only be applied after the third week of the Regular Phase until
the end of the tournament.

2.4.3.2. This request can only be made one time, even if you used just 1 of
the 2 possible changes.

2.4.3.3. This application should be submitted at least 1 week in advance until


these player can compete in the regular season match.

Any player change must be communicated with a minimum of 14 days and a maximum
of 7 days in advance, followed by the signed form, PEA and Consent Letter data and the
Media Day of the new player must be held at least 7 and maximum 5 days in advance.

The new player cannot have represented another team during MLSL-N S1 .
2.4.4. Jerseys - Teams must present the design and have a valid jersey until 08/09
(Media Day). All members of the team will need to use their own jerseys during Media
Day.

2.4.5. Unauthorized Personnel - In Offline event, match participants can't bring


unauthorized personnel into the Team Member Areas, into the hotel arranged by the
MLSL-N S1 , ride in buses arranged by the MLSL-N S1 or participate in other group
events.

2.5. Team Names and Logos


Teams may not have the same or similar names or logos and must be unique in design
and appearance. In addition, team names and logos must contain only English characters,
numbers and space.
When requesting MLSL-N S1 for the use of any team names, the team must also
provide an abbreviated 2-3 character name of the contemplated team name which must
contain only English characters and numbers. Unless otherwise specified by the team,
MLSL-N S1 has the right to use, at its sole discretion, the full team name and/or the
abbreviated team name on any occasion.

Team name, Logo or abbreviation can not have any sponsor related to betting sites.

Team names and logos may also not offend or defame the dignity or integrity of
others, in accordance with good morals practices and code of conduct, better
described in a specific section.

The tournament organization reserves the final right to approve team names and logos.

Any entries relating to changes to the names or logos of all teams (including qualified
teams) must be submitted to the tournament organization before 08/16/2022 The new
name or logo can only be used after approval has been given. Except for the
circumstances of name duplication or violation of naming rules, no team (except
qualified teams) is allowed to change the team name after the date.
Moonton has the right to make final decisions in disputes and to change the
rulebook at any time, or even go against the rulebook itself, always aiming at the
competitive integrity of the tournament and fair play.

2.6. Players Names


The player name must contain only English characters and numbers. The length must be 4
to 12 characters. Player names must start with capital letters and cannot contain the name
of a sponsor, be similar to any brand, nor are player names that could cause
misunderstandings allowed.

In case of duplicate names, the player must first consult the tournament organization
and then change his name.

Player names and avatars may also not offend or defame the dignity or integrity of others,
in accordance with good morals practices and code of conduct, better described in a
specific section.
2.6.1.Changes - Changes to team names, logos and player names are not permitted,
except under certain extenuating circumstances, and must be approved by the
tournament organization prior to use in an MLSL-N S1 match. Any cosmetic changes
must be made before the designated date. The tournament organization has the right to
deny the name of a team that does not meet the professional standards sought by
MLSL-N S1 .
2.6.2. Review and Approval - All team names, logos and player names must be
approved by the tournament organization prior to use in the tournament.

2.6.3. Common Restrictions - No additional special characters will be allowed for team
names, logos or player names (including strikethrough letters, slashes, etc.). Team
names, logos and player names cannot contain:
• Vulgarities or obscenities.
• Names related to MLBB hero characters or other similar characters.
• Other content that may create confusion for name readers.

2.7. Substitutions
A team may substitute players between games in a match. The team must notify an
MLSL-N S1 referee and have the substitute approved no later than 5 minutes after the
end of the previous game. For example, if a team wishes to replace a player in Game 2,
the team manager must notify and seek approval from an MLSL-N S1 referee no later
than 5 minutes after Game 1.
Substitution is not allowed in BO1 matches. For BO2, BO3, BO5 and BO7 matches, only
one substitution can be made at a time between each game, and a player who leaves the
main formation will not automatically return to the next game within the same match.
In every new match, the Starting Line-up must be used in the first match,
regardless of substitutions made in previous matches.
2.7.1. Emergency - In the event of an emergency, the team must consult the
tournament organization immediately for proper instructions and will have time (to be
defined depending on the situation) to find an immediate replacement. A substitute
player, who may be the head coach or any other player who has not participated in
such tournaments, may be allowed to participate. A substitute player must meet the
requirements stipulated in Player Eligibility and Team Member Eligibility.

2.8. Referees
2.8.1. Responsabilities - Referees designated by the tournament organization are
responsible for making judgments on all matters, issues and situations related to the
match that occur before, during and immediately after the game.
2.8.2. Referee's behavior - At all times, referees will behave in a professional manner
and issue decisions impartially. No animosity or prejudice will be shown towards any
player, team manager, coach, owner or others.
2.8.3. Final Interpretation - The tournament organization may review any decisions
made during or after a Game in order to confirm that the correct procedures have been
implemented. If correct procedures are not followed, the tournament organization
reserves the right to overturn the Referee's decision. The tournament organization
retains the right to make the final decision on all decisions for the duration of the
tournament.

2.9. Punctuality
Teams must prepare for the match one hour before the start, be in the game fifteen
minutes before the start of the game and enter the game room immediately at the
invitation of the observer account.

If one side is not ready when the pre-scheduled time for the match is reached, everyone
will wait an extra ten minutes. After the expiry of this extra waiting time, if only one team
is complete, the team behind will be considered as the loser of the first game of this
match. If the team has not yet entered the game room and is ready after twenty minutes,
the team behind will be deemed to have lost both games for that match, and so on, until
one side has won.

If there are unexpected circumstances that could cause a team to be late, the team
must notify the tournament organization thirty minutes before the start of the match.
The tournament organization will decide whether or not they agree to delay the match
depending on the situation. If the tournament organization was not notified thirty
minutes before the start of the match, but the team is still late, the tournament
organization will administer extra penalties to the team according to the importance of
the match result.
Late arrivals caused by force majeure will be handled at the discretion of the tournament
organization.

2.10. Competitive Patch and Match Server


The tournament organization will determine the version of the game used for the Match
and will notify members in advance.

On the online servers, some Heroes that received updates and Heroes that were recently
added will be banned from being used within two weeks of the update.

Match-specific bans and usage times will be notified by the tournament organization.

As for heroes that have bugs in the current Competitive Patch, members of the
tournament organization will ban their use indefinitely.

Considering we have online tournament, so the best server will be choosen.

2.11. Game Configurations


2.11.1. Pre-Game Process Before the start of each game, respecting
the stipulated start time of the round, it is important that each
player:
• Check if the game version is the most updated.
• Confirm that you are using your MLBB game tournament account.
• Ensure the quality and connection of the equipment.
• Calibrate any equipment as needed.
• Adjust game settings.
• Test your own connection.
2.11.2. Room Creations - The organization will invite the captain of each team,
who must add his other teammates, only observers, judges and 5 players from each
team are allowed in the lobby, substitute players cannot join the match.
2.11.3. Picks and Bans - The system will be 5 bans, competitive.
2.11.4. Side Selection - The sides will be defined by a draw, the team drawn
decides whether to start on the BLUE or RED side. The first choice/veto will be the
BLUE team. In case of BO2, BO3, BO5 and BO7, in each subsequent match the teams
will alternate side/color.
2.11.5. Dispute - If a team identify something wrong before or during the match,
tournament officials must be notified immediately. Delay in communicating with
officials may result in the requested dispute being closed.
2.11.6. Remake - In the case of a match started incorrectly or in a special situation
(for example, a player suffering an unintentional disconnection) the referee must be
alerted immediately and only he can point out that the match be remade (also known as
“Remake”). All pre-game and
game actions must coincide with the moves up to the game stop (hero picks, hero
emblem, hero spells, etc).
2.11.7. Discord - All team members for a current game must be present on the
Official Discord. During the Pre-game, the team analyst and psychologist are allowed to
enter. During the games only the holders and coach must be in the room;

2.12. Transfer period

Before the beginning of each season, all teams has the period for any
actions related to talents transfer, staff change, structure modification
etc. Any change of players, players transfer, company change or other
actions that based on the consideration of Moonton, will affect the
execution and development of MLSL-N S1 and other esports events
held by Moonton will not be allowed once the transfer period is
finished. For 2023, the transfer period will be:

2023/01/10-2023/02/10

2023/12/01-2023/12/31

In case of any modification of dates and regulation mentioned


above, a written notice will be sent via email to corresponding
team.

3. GAME RULES
3.1. Definitions of Technical Terms
• Hardware Malfunction - Hardware malfunction includes server malfunction, hosting
PC malfunction, or cell phone malfunction or any hardware that is being used by
players during the course of the competition.
• Game of Record ("GOR") - Refers to a game in which all ten players have

participated and which has progressed to a point of significant interaction between

opposing teams. Once a game reaches GOR status, the period in which incidental

remakes are allowed ends and the game in question will be considered "official"
from that point forward. After the establishment of the GOR, remakes of the game

will only be allowed under extreme conditions, subject to the approval of the

tournament organization. Examples of conditions that establish GOR:

a. Any attack or ability is aimed at enemy minions, jungle creatures, structures or


heroes.
b. Line of sight is established between players on opposing teams.

c. Positioning the hero, establishing vision or directing the skill shooting skill into
the opponent's jungle by either team, which includes leaving the river or
entering a thicket connected to the enemy jungle.

d. The game clock reaches two minutes (00:02:00).


• Intentional Disconnection - A player losing connection with the game due to
their own actions. Whenever a player's actions lead to disconnection they will be
considered intentional, regardless of the player's actual intent.
• Unintentional Disconnection - A player losing connection to the game due to
problems with the game client, mobile phone, network or other devices.
• Bug - Defined as any in-game event that results in an incorrect or abnormal
effect on the game, causing statistics or hardware to malfunction, display
incorrect data, lag, or other defects.
• Critical Bug - Defined as bugs that have a major negative effect on any player's
ability to perform at a professional competitive level, a major change in game
stats or game mechanics, or that heavily influence match results. Moonton, and
consequently the tournament organization, reserves final interpretation rights on
what is a critical bug.
• Informed Bug - The tournament organization will inform all teams about bugs that

they are aware of, but which will not strongly affect the gameplay of the game before

each match. (Such as heroes, game equipment, animation effects, etc.) These bugs

will only be “rectified” by banning heroes, banning the use of certain skins or game

equipment to minimize the effect it has on gameplay, so such bugs will not be

accepted as a reason to carry out any rematch or discontinue current games.

• General Bug - Defined as a hardware malfunction that affects the player's level of
play during competition, incorrect display of statistics, or malfunction of game
mechanics, but does not directly interfere with the outcome of the match.
• Terminal Situation - Terminal situations are defined as situations where the game
cannot continue due to a bug and the game needs to be remade. This includes
situations like:

a. Bugs that are not verifiable by any technical means to restart the game.

b. Bugs that are not verifiable by any technical means to prevent or remove,
including situations where heroes or skins need to be banned.
c. Any situation where MLSL officials consider that the game cannot continue,
including change in the physical environment, natural disasters, or hardware
malfunction.
• Server Failure - All players lose connection to the game due to a problem with
a game server, mail server, or site internet instability.
• Prompt Reports - Defined as a bug that is noticed by any player (including
hardware malfunctions). In this case, the player is responsible for immediately
informing the tournament organization, which may result in the game being
paused.

3.2. Game interruptions


• Stoppage of the game - If a player intentionally disconnects or pauses play without
notifying a referee, the organization is not obligated to force a game stoppage. During
any break or interruption, players may not leave the playing area unless authorized by
a referee.
• Unauthorized Pause - If a player pauses or resumes a Game without the
permission of an MLSL-N S1 referee, it will be considered unfair play and
penalties will be applied at the discretion of the tournament organization.

• Player Pauses
a. There is no limit or maximum pause time for any team.
b. If players wish to pause, at least one player must raise their hand to signify full
commitment to the pause. Under no circumstances will a pause request be
entertained in any other way. Additionally, only players are allowed to request a
pause and no other staff member may do so.

c. Once the game has been paused, the initiating player must tell a referee as to the
reason. If the pause is unreasonable or if a referee reports no indication of any
real issue in the game despite player claims, MLSL-N S1 League Operations
reserves the right to penalize the player and/or team according to the severity of
the disruption caused by the pause.

d. There is no limit or maximum pause time for any team.


e. If players wish to pause, at least one player must raise their hand to signify full
commitment to the pause. Under no circumstances will a pause request be
entertained in any other way. Additionally, only players are allowed to request a
pause and no other staff member may do so.

f. Once the game has been paused, the initiating player must tell a referee as to the
reason. If the pause is unreasonable or if a referee reports no indication of any
real issue in the game despite player claims, MPL League Operations reserves the
right to penalize the player and/or team according to the severity of the disruption
caused by the pause.
• Directed Pause - The tournament organization may order a match to be paused or
execute a pause command, at the sole discretion of the tournament organization, at
any time.

3.3. Resuming the Game


Players are not allowed to resume the game after a pause. Game will resume only after a
referee's release has been issued and when the captains of both teams confirm, via
in-game
chat, that their respective players are ready. Teams will have 10 seconds to prepare
after the referee declares that game will resume.

3.4. Postponing a Game


In the event of a technical difficulty that leads the tournament organization to declare a
remake, the tournament organization, in its sole discretion, may request the remake or
postponement of the Game.

3.5. Remaking the game


The game can only be remade according to the final decision of the tournament
organization. The following conditions are examples used to illustrate such an
occurrence:
• When GOR is not established:
a. A player notices that emblems, battle spells, or other settings were not applied
correctly due to a bug between the game lobby and the match. The player can
pause the game to adjust these settings, but if the settings cannot be adjusted
correctly, the game can be restarted.

b. Technical difficulties prevent the game from resuming normally.


• When GOR is established:
a. Critical bug is found at any point during the game.

b. The Referee determines that environmental conditions, reported and


confirmed by players or by the tournament organization itself, prevent fair
play from proceeding.

In the event of force majeure during the game and the game cannot continue, after the
tenth- minute period has elapsed, the winner will be decided through a numerical system
of points with the following criteria:
• Turtle Kills: One point each
• Lord Kills: Two points each
• Destruction of an Outer Turret: One point
• Destruction of an Inner Turret: Two points
• Destruction of a Turret Base: Three points
• Gold difference:
a. One point for every One Thousand gold difference between teams.

The team that scores fifteen points more than the opposing team or that has a clear
advantage (for example, being able to break the enemy team's base) will be declared the
winner. If the duration of the game is less than ten minutes or the difference in points is
equal to or less than fifteen points, the game will be remade.
3.6. Coaching
Only registered Coaches/Coaches may stay on Discord and/or behind the team during
matches. The coach/coach interaction with the team can only be performed when
allowed by the administrators and in the following situations below.
• Picks and Bans phase
• Breaks between matches
• Post-game

3.7. Post-game Procedures


• Results - The Captain of each team is responsible for registering, through a print
screen, the result of each game. However, it is advised that both teams register and
take a print screen of the result. The winning team is ultimately responsible for
properly reporting the score to the referees through Official Discord, sending the
images to prove the result of the match via ticket in the "#results" room informing the
teams involved, match number or match link. This print screen must clearly
demonstrate the result, its team, the opposing team, their respective compositions
and game data.
• Standings Update - The organization will be in charge of reporting the results on
Battlefy and updating the standings.
• Technical Notes - Players who identify any technical issues must report it to the
tournament organization.
• Breaks - Team captains, as well as their players, should pay attention to official
announcements regarding upcoming rounds on Discord and on the Battlefy
tournament organization platform.
• Forfeits - Matches won by forfeit will be reported by the minimum score a team
would take to win the match (e.g. 1-0 for BO1 matches, 2-0 for BO2/BO3 matches,
3-0 for BO5 matches). No other statistics will be recorded for lost matches.
• Next Matches - Captains as well as players should pay attention to the standings
update. As soon as a team has an opponent on the standings, the match must start
immediately.
• Match Disputes - If a team has evidence that a result has been reported incorrectly, it

needs to contact the organization within 5 minutes of the result being confirmed on

the platform so that the case can be evaluated quickly enough to make the necessary

actions. score changes. If players do not contact or exceed 5 minutes, the result of

the match will not be changed and the open dispute will be disregarded and archived.
If a challenge is opened without evidence, the team that initiated the challenge may

be penalized, depending on the organization's judgment.


• Obligation after Competition - Players will be informed of any post-match
obligations, including, but not limited to, media appearances, interviews, or
further discussion of any match matters.

3.8. Specific Rules during the regular season


• Pauses
a. Teams are only allowed three (3) pauses per game. The referee has the right to
reject the request for a pause after 3 times, depending on the reasons for the
pause

b. Teams are limited to a total of fifteen (15) minutes collectively for each pause per
game.
c. If players wish to pause, at least one member of the team must be able to
speak on Discord to the referee in clear and concise language.
i. Notably, they must say the phrase, "referee pause" to officially request a pause.

ii. No other phrase will be acceptable and others will simply be ignored by the
referees.

d. Additionally, the player must also raise their hand and must be clearly visible in the
team player feed. If only either the verbal or physical notifications for a pause
request are done, the request will be ignored. Players must do both to signal the
official pause request..
e. Match Clash Pauses: A clash pause is defined as a pause done during a clash, as
at least 4 players from opposing teams engaging with each other (3 from Team A
and 1 from team B; 2 from each team.) Teams will each be given limited instances
of clash pauses depending on the maximum number of games in a match:

i. Best-of-3 = 3 Clash Pauses

ii. Best-of-5 = 5 Clash Pauses

iii. Best-of-7 = 7 Clash Pauses


• Internet and Equipment - Players from each team should ensure the internet
and equipment, including Phones, earphones etc. are in the best situation for
matches, any issues caused by players' phone will be the team's own
responsibility.
• Acceptable LAG during MLSL - The teams and players understand that due to the
distance between the countries participating in MLSL, there can be lag during the
matches . During this tournament, it is considered normal play with 65-125 ms and
is not allowed to request pauses with this amount of ping . In case of anormal
amount of pings during the matches, the referee needs to be informed immediately
by the Captain on official Discord.
• Request of pauses - Each team can have 3 pauses per match in case of
ping/problems, after the limit of pauses not will be possible request a pause.
4. CODE OF CONDUCT

4.1. Competitive Conduct


Teams are expected to always play their best in any game and avoid any behavior
inconsistent with the principles of good sportsmanship, honesty and fair play. For clarity,
team composition and pick/ban phase will not be considered when determining whether
this rule has been violated.

The following actions will be considered unfair play and will be subject to penalties at the
discretion of the tournament organization:
• Collusion - Defined as any agreement between two or more players, coaches,
teams and/or Teams to harm opposing players. Collusion includes, but is not limited
to, acts such as:

a. Soft Play, an agreement between two or more Players not to damage,


impede or otherwise play within a reasonable standard of competition in a
Game;

b. Prior preparation of the division of prize money and/or any other form of
compensation;

c. Send or receive signals, electronic or otherwise, from a Team to/from a Player;

d. Intentionally losing a game for a cash prize, or for any other reason, or
attempting to induce another player to do so;
• Hacking - Defined as any modification of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang game
client by any player, team or person acting on behalf of a player or team.
• Account Change - Play on another player's account or solicit, induce, encourage
or direct another person to play on another player's account.
• Cheats - The use of any type of cheating device, cheating program or any similar
cheating method.
• Intentional Disconnection - An intentional disconnection without a proper and
explicitly stated reason.
• Spectator Monitors - Players who are playing a game are not allowed to look or
attempt to look at any screen or device that is displaying an observer-level view of
that game (i.e. that is or is capable of showing a neutral view of the map).
• Exploit - Defined as intentionally using any game bug to seek an advantage, it
includes, but is not limited to:
a. Flaws when purchasing items;

b. Flaws in neutral minions interactions;

c. Flaws to perform the Heroes skill or any other game function that, in
the sole determination of the tournament organization, is not working
as intended;
• Swearing and Hate Speech - A team member may not use language that is

obscene, dirty, vulgar, insulting, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory or

otherwise offensive or objectionable, nor promote or incite hatred or discriminatory

conduct, at any time while during the execution of MLSL-N S1 . A team member

may not use any facilities, services or equipment provided or made available by

MLSL-N S1 or its contractors to post, transmit, disseminate or otherwise make


available such prohibited communications. A team member also cannot use such

language on social media or during any public tournaments such as streaming.

• Insulting Behavior - A team member may not take any action or perform any gesture
directed at an opposing team member, fan or referee, or incite any other individual to
do the same, which is insulting, mocking, upsetting or antagonistic.
• Abusive Behavior - Abuse of tournament organization, opposing team members or
audience members will not be tolerated. Team members must treat all individuals
participating in a match with respect.

The tournament organization may, at its sole discretion, punish players and teams for
any other act, omission of action or behavior that, in the sole discretion of the
tournament organization, violates these Rules and/or the integrity standards established
by MLSL-N S1 for the competitive game.

4.2. Inappropriate Behavior


The following actions will be considered unprofessional behavior and will be subject
to penalties at the discretion of the tournament organization, also analyzing, but not
limited to, social networks, official communication channels, broadcast chats, from
personal or professional accounts, in addition to the period of games:
• Responsibility Under the Code - Violations of the Official Rules are punishable
whether or not they were committed intentionally. Attempts to commit such crimes
or infractions are also punishable.
• Irresponsible Public Declaration - Teams (including players, coaches and any
team representative) have a duty and responsibility as representatives of the
league to abide by the rules and regulations as stated in the rules in this
document.
• Harassment - Harassment is prohibited. Harassment is defined as systematic,
hostile and repeated acts occurring over a considerable period of time, or a
singular and gregarious instance, that have/aim to isolate or ostracize a person
and/or affect the person's dignity.
• Sexual harassment - Sexual harassment is prohibited. Sexual harassment is
defined as unwelcome sexual advances. The assessment is based on whether a
reasonable person would consider the conduct undesirable or offensive. There is
no tolerance for any sexual threats/coercion or promises of advantages in
exchange for sexual favors.
• Discrimination and Defamation - Team members may not offend the dignity or
integrity of a country, private person or group of people through contemptuous,
discriminatory or degrading words or actions based on race, skin color, ethnic,
national or social origin, gender
, language, religion, political opinion or any other opinion, financial status, birth or any
other status, sexual orientation or any other reason.
• Behavior Contrary to Morality - Team members may not participate in any action
deemed by the tournament organization to be immoral, shameful or contrary to
traditional morals and ethics.
• Criminal Activity - A team member may not engage in any activity that is
prohibited by common law, statute or treaty and that leads to or can reasonably
be considered likely to lead to conviction in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Statements About MLSL-N S1 , Moonton and MLBB - Team Members may not give,
make, issue, authorize or endorse any statement or action that has, or is designed to
have, a detrimental effect or detrimental to the best interests of MLSL-N S1 , Moonton
or its affiliates, or the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, as determined in the sole and
absolute discretion of the tournament organization.
• Leak of Information Without Approval - Teams will be asked to submit documents

for approval or visibility across MLSL-N S1 . Such documents are necessary to

maintain expectations throughout MLSL-N S1 . Early announcements can get in the

way of strategies a team would use in upcoming matches. For this reason, if a team

member is instructed not to disclose information, as it may harm the competitive

process, and the team member continues to disclose such information, then that

player and/or his team will be subject to penalties.

• Confidentiality - A team member may not disclose any confidential information


provided by the tournament organization, Moonton or any Moonton affiliate, through
any method of communication, including all social media channels.
• Bribery - No team member may offer any gift or reward to an MLSL-N S1 player,
coach, manager and/or referee, Moonton employee or person connected with or
employed by another MLSL-N S1 team or organization for services promised,
rendered or to be rendered in defeating or attempting to defeat a competing team.
• Gifts - No team member may accept any gift, reward or compensation for services

promised, rendered or to be rendered in connection with the competitive play of the


Game, including services relating to the defeat or attempt to defeat a competing

team or services designed to launch or repair a match or game. The only exception

to this rule will be in the case of performance-based compensation paid to a team

member by the official sponsor or owner of the same team.


• Matchfixing - No team member may offer, agree, conspire or attempt to
influence the outcome of a game or match in any way that is prohibited by law
or these Rules.
• Non-compliance - No team member may refuse or fail to apply the
instructions or reasonable decisions of the tournament organization.
Poaching - No team member or affiliate of a team may solicit, attract or make an offer of
employment to any coach or official player who is hired by any MLSL-N S1 team, nor
encourage any coach or official player to breach or terminate a contract with the
aforementioned team from MLSL-N S1 . A coach or official player cannot request a
team to violate this rule. An official coach or player may publicly express their desire to
leave their team and encourage any and all interested parties to contact their
management (i.e. a general statement addressed to the entire market) after obtaining the
team's consent. Violations of this rule will be subject to penalties, at the discretion of the
tournament organization. To inquire about the status of an official coach or player of
another team, managers should contact the administration of the team with which the
player and/or official coach is currently contracted. The investigating team must provide
visibility to the tournament organization before being able to discuss the contract with a
player.

4.3. Association with Gambling


No MLSL-N S1 team member or referee may participate, directly or indirectly, in
betting or gambling on any results of any MPL, games or matches of Mobile
Legends: Bang Bang.

5. COMPLIANCE WITH RULES AND PENALTIES


5.1. Finality of Decisions
All decisions regarding the interpretation of these rules, player eligibility, scheduling and
staging of the MLSL, and penalties for misconduct, lie solely with MLSL, the decisions
of which are final. MLSL decisions with respect to these Rules cannot be appealed and
shall not give rise to any claim for monetary damages or any other legal or equitable
remedy.

5.2. Rule Changes


These Rules may be amended, modified or supplemented by MLSL, from time to time,
in order to ensure fair play and the integrity of MLSL.
5.3. Best Interests of the MLSL
Moonton and the MLSL officials at all times may act with the necessary authority to
preserve the best interests of the MLSL. This power is not constrained by the lack of any
specific language in this document. MLSL officials may use any form of punitive actions
at their disposal against any entity whose conduct is not within the confines of the best
interests of the MLSL.
5.4. Subjection to Penalties

Any person who attempts to do any act that the tournament organization believes
constitutes unfair play will be subject to the penalty.

If the tournament organization or Moonton determines that a team or team member


has violated the Official Rules, or other rules of the MLSL-N S1 or other official
tournaments, the nature and extent of penalties imposed as a result of such acts will
be at the discretion of exclusive and absolute control of the tournament organization.

5.5. Escalation of Penalties


Upon discovery of any team member committing any violations of these Rules, the
tournament organization may, without limiting its authority, issue the following penalties:
• Verbal or written warning(s).
• Loss of side selection for current and/or future game(s).
• Loss of ban for current or future tournaments.
• Confiscation of fine(s) and/or revenue sharing.
• Game loss.
• Suspension(s).
• Disqualification(s).
• Any other punishment deemed appropriate by the authority of MLSL-N S1 .
Repeated infractions are subject to escalating penalties, up to and including
disqualification from future participation in MLSL. Note that penalties may not always be
applied successively. The tournament organization, in its sole discretion, for example,
may disqualify a player for a first offense if that player's action is deemed egregious
enough to be worthy of disqualification.

Penalties that establish an indicated amount of time for disciplinary action will apply to
competition months only. Competition months are defined as the months in which the
MLSL-N S1 professional competition takes place. Violations will be governed by the
MLSL-N S1 Penalty Index.

5.6. Player/Team Behavior Investigation


If the tournament organization determines that a team or team member has violated the
Code of Conduct or other Official Rules, the tournament organization may contact the
team or team member to discuss the investigation, whether the team or team member
thank you to tell the truth.
If a team or team member withholds information or misleads the tournament organization
by creating an obstruction of the investigation, then the team and/or team member is
subject to
penalties at the discretion of the tournament organization.

5.7. Appeal
In case of doubts and/or appeals about penalties, the team and/or team member must
send an email requesting information or review and the same will be analyzed by
Moonton.

5.8. Publication Rights


The tournament organization will have the right to publish a statement stating that a
team and/or team member has been penalized. Any staff members and/or staff that may
have been mentioned in such statement waive any right of legal action against MLSL-N
S1 , Moonton and/or any of their partners, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agents or
contractors.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS


By participating in the tournament, you agree that any supporting materials submitted in
connection with you and your team are legally created and are original works. You
represent and warrant that the materials do not infringe or misappropriate the intellectual
property rights of others, and you will warrant and defend the tournament administration
and its respective partners, shareholders, agents, managers, directors, officials, and their
respective affiliates. (collectively, the "Organization Parties") harmless from any
damages, losses, costs (including attorneys' fees), liabilities and causes of action arising
out of or in connection with actual or alleged infringement of third party intellectual
property rights for the authorized use of the materials.

You grant the Organization Parties the absolute, worldwide, irrevocable right and
unrestricted permission to use the content of any recording (including video, voice and
written formats) made or made during your participation in the tournament, to use,
reproduce, distribute, modify and display words, writings, likeness, image, voice, name
and appearance. As such, they may be incorporated into any documents, photos, video
recordings, audio tapes, digital images and the like, including any derivative work
thereof, made on behalf of a part of the organization in connection with your
participation, including your sales pitch (hereinafter collectively referred to as
"Recordings"). You agree that Organization Parties have the absolute right to create
such Recordings in connection herewith and that you have full ownership of such
material and may use such material for any purpose consistent with your business
purposes, including promotional, commercial, educational and testimonials in videos,
publications, advertisements, press releases, websites or any other promotional,
testimonial, commercial or educational material in any medium. You acknowledge that
you will not receive any compensation for the use of such images, video, likeness,
appearance or content, and the waivers and releases you grant by participating are in
consideration of tournament
administration permitting your participation in the tournament and any goodwill or
publicity that you get as a result of your participation.

You understand that the “Recordings” shall be the exclusive property of the Organization
Parties, including, if applicable, their respective affiliates, business partners and
representatives; neither you nor any third party shall have any rights to own or use the
Recordings in any way unless authorized by the same. To the extent that any names,
logos or brands are included in the Recordings, you grant, on behalf of the owner of
such brands, to the Organization Parties a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited
license to use the Brands only as they appear on the Recordings and as the Recordings
are further used in marketing and promotional media. You represent and warrant that you
have the authority to grant such license on behalf of the owner of the brands.
Organization Parties will not use, register or attempt to register any of the brands in any
jurisdiction. All use of the Trademarks and all goodwill associated therewith shall inure
solely to the benefit of the owner of such Trademarks, and the holder shall have all right
and interest in and to the Trademarks.

7. PERSONAL INFORMATION
By participating in the tournament, you consent to the tournament organization and
Moonton the rights to process personal information and documents internally in
accordance with data protection law of your country for the purposes listed below:
• Organization, conference and monitoring of the registration status and eligibility
of each tournament participant.
• Organization, conference, execution and monitoring of the award payment
situation to winning participants, when applicable.
• Any additional processes for which participants have consented to the use of their
data, including, but not limited to, sharing of participant information between agents
and partners of Moonton and the tournament organization.
