Hemaray 8X MySQL installation

i. You need to prepare the following files.

(1). Database main program: mysql-5.5.8-win32.msi
(2). Database driver: mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.5-win32.msi

As the below figure:

ii. Install “mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.5-win32.msi”

Double click the file “mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.5-win32.mis”：

 No need extra settings, just click “Next” button, till the installation finish.

iii. Install “mysql-5.5.8-win32.msi”

Double click the file “mysql-5.5.8-win32.mis”:

The “Choose Setup Type” interface, and choose “Typocal”.
 Waiting for a moment, the following interface will pop-up.

Choose “Launch the MYSQL Instance Configuration Wizard”, and click

“Finish”.
Choose the ”Best Support for Multilingualism”, and then click “next”
button.
Please do not choose the “Modify Security Setting”. And then click “Next”
button

Click “Execute” button, waiting for the installation finish.

iv. Notes:
If you want to reinstall the database software, you must make sure delete the
old database complete. After uninstall the database software, you still need
go into Regedit, delete the following files:
1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\
Eventlog\Application\MySQL
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\
Eventlog\Application\MySQL
3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
Eventlog\Application\MySQL
4. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl001\Services\
MYSQL
5. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl002\Services\
 MYSQL
6. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
MYSQL
7. XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\
MySQL
Win7/8/10: C:\ProgramData\MYSQL
(The number 7 two files is Hidden file, you need show the Hidden file
first, and then delete it.)

Restart the computer after delete.
