General:
• All building blocks are in the EXIN portfolio, external certifications are allowed as exemptions
• VeriSM Foundation can be replaced by EXIN ITSM, SIAM or ITIL, where ITIL counts as an external
certificate;
• BCS VeriSM and SIAM are seen as EXIN certifications;

For Certified Integrator:

• 1 out of 3 certificates can be from an external party. Where external means that the certification is not in
the EXIN portfolio;
• An EXIN certification can be replaced by a module in the same program of a higher level;

For Career Path:

• The career path is in the EXIN Portfolio scope of subjects (management, organization)
• Advanced certification must be from EXIN;
• Foundation certifications, 1 can be from an external party; the accepted alternative certifications listed on
the specific career path slide.
